Synopsis
When humanity’s strongest hero dies on the battlefield after slaying the Demon Prince, he expects eternal rest, or perhaps judgment by the gods. Instead, he awakens in silk sheets, surrounded by demons who kneel and call him Your Highness. The impossible has happened: his soul has been reborn inside the very enemy he killed. Now living as Prince Aren, heir to the Demon Throne, he must hide his past and navigate a world he was taught to destroy. But as he learns more about the demon realm, their culture, their pain, their reasons for war, he begins to question everything he once believed. Torn between two lives, two identities, and two worlds on the brink of annihilation, he faces a cruel truth: the war he died to end was never between good and evil, but between lies and the people who believed them. As forces of gods and mortals move to restart the cycle, Aren must decide who he truly is the Hero of Humanity, the Prince of Demons… or the bridge that will end the war forever.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

The battlefield burned red beneath a dying sun. Smoke swallowed the mountains, and the clang of steel had become a rhythm older than the world itself.I could barely lift my sword. My hands were raw, my breath shallow, and yet I stood between the demon army and the last human stronghold.

They called me the Hero. The savior chosen by the gods. But in that moment, I was just a man waiting to die.

The Demon Prince stood before me : tall, silver-haired, eyes like shards of obsidian flame. His armor was blackened with human blood. We moved at the same time. My blade pierced his chest, and his spear found my heart.

For an instant, our gazes met.He smiled. Not a cruel smile, but something strange… almost relieved.

As the light left my eyes, I heard a voice : soft, distant, neither divine nor demonic.

"You sought to end the war. Then live… as the other side."

And the world faded to white.
