Synopsis
After conquering heaven and hell solely due to boredom, the demon prince finally decided it was time to rest. Although he didn't really expect to begin his second life in the modern era within a family that is at the bottom of the hierarchy because of their ranked F magic. Family relatives talking down on them, people discriminating them, his dad barely able to pay rent, and even insects probably refused to look at their way just because of their low status. This is ridiculous! It might be bothersome for him to do anything since all he wanted to do is to lay low and relax on his second life, but he couldn't accept being treated like a lowlife. He'll show 'em who they're messing with. - WARNING(s): Fellas, this novel contains LGBTQ+, some intense fantasy fighting sesh, and author's absolutely terrible attempt at humor. If these are not your cup of tea kindly click away :) Thank you!

Chapter 1 - Well, this is not a good start.

The first thing I felt was wetness on my face.

Did someone pour their drink onto me or something? Everything is so dark. What is happening? Am I blind?

Oh, never mind. My eyes are closed.

But every attempt I made to open them made my head throb more intensely. My eyelids twitched a few times before I forced them open, and the light hit me like a flashbang, making me squeeze them shut again.

Why is it so bright? Am I in heaven?

No, that's impossible. I did conquer heaven, after all. So, where the heck am I?

"Oh my Goodness! Nessa, look! Our baby boy is alive!"

Ugh, who's screaming in my ear?

I tried opening my eyes again, slower this time. The world swam into view in patches of dull colors; my vision kept flickering, shapes shifting until I realized that a beautiful woman was holding me.

Oh, she's crying. So that's why my face felt wet.

"M-My baby," she whimpered, hugging me tightly as she released a deep, shaky breath. "My beautiful b-baby,"

Baby?

What the heck is she talking about? I'm a demon who's way older than you, lady!

Still disoriented, I tried to make sense of my situation. My limbs felt incredibly heavy, and I saw a man standing next to the woman holding me, also crying like a baby. He's caressing my head and kissing my forehead.

Stop it! The two of you made my face wet! These tears are so salty!

I whined quietly, blinking before wiping my face with my baby hands.

Wait.

Wait a minute.

Baby hands? Baby? Huh?

Don't tell me—

"Honey, call the doctor. He needs to take a look at our baby," The woman—I'm assuming my mother—called out frantically. She sounded so weak, and her face was blotched red; she must've been crying for a while.

"Y-Yes! I'll be right back," The crybaby man practically tossed himself out of my vision, and I heard a door close, and he frantically shouted for help.

My mother looked down at me with a tender smile, wiping away the tears around my face with her thumb.

That—feels kind of nice.

Is this what a mother's touch felt like?

She looked beautiful. Her skin is fair, her eyes remind me of the ocean, and her hair is black like ink.

How did my human father manage to snatch someone looking like her? Is he using black magic or something?

"My sweet baby, you scared me and your daddy to death. I'm happy I can finally get to meet my sweetest boy," she whispered.

I only blinked up at her.

This is not really what I expected. I thought I'd be asleep for eternity until the world explodes on its own, but apparently, I got reincarnated as a baby of two crybaby humans. Not that I'm complaining.

Maybe this isn't so bad after all.

"Darling," my father's voice returned, and he looked somewhat apologetic. "T-They told us to go home,"

What the—

My mother's face looked surprised for a bit before she smiled in resignation. "Ah, I should've expected it. Who would want to treat F-ranked people?"

"Honey..."

"It's okay. Let's go home, we can take a look after Riven ourselves,"

Wait, hold on a minute.

You're telling me, my mother just gave birth to me, and now they're getting kicked out because of their ranks? What are ranks anyway? What year is this? What the heck is happening?

I just woke up as a human baby, and you're telling me my family is too low in status that no one wants to do anything with us?

Well, this is not a good start.
