After discussing some future plans that were possible with Ghost, they decided to continue the interviews.
Before when Paul walked out, some people were surprised by his angry face.
They thought he was friendly, but quickly changed their minds.
The applicants were curious what happened and started whispering to eachother.
A few minutes later the next person was called in.
After a couple hours of interviewing people it was lunch time.
'What a disappointment. There were some people that were okay, but not good enough to offer a contract on the spot.'
They decided to take a one hour lunch break before continuing.
Lucas decided to call the association and offered them a lot of money to but the E-rank wolf and goblin forest gate.
Just the F-rank gate wasn't enough for him and his guild.
'The new guild members will use the F-rank gate, while my avatars and stronger guild members will use the E-rank gate to farm experience.'
It cost him and his guild a lot of money, but it was worth it.
Lucas talked with all the managers about it and they handled the transfer of the gate from there.

The lunch break was over and the interviews continued.
After a few people came and left finally someone noteworthy showed up.
Name: Vanessa Alves
Class: Assassin
Level: 12
Stats:
Strength: 24
Agility: 40
Stamina: 29
Senses: 36
Intelligence: 25
Skills: Dagger Mastery (C), Camouflage (C), Poison Mastery (F), Breathing Technique (D), Night Vision (E), Enhanced Senses (E)
'Incredible.'
'Both her stats and skills are very impressive.'
Lucas could also sense that she was calm and cautious.
'I don't feel that she is someone who would backstab her allies. People often think that assassins are evil or have no emotions, but that's not the case.'
After talking with her for a while they found out that she came from a neighboring city.
Apparently the people there couldn't handle the gates and had to evacuate. There were many casualties, including Vanessa's father.
Lucas spoke.
"I am sorry for your loss."
"Thank you."
Vanessa was very calm, but Lucas could sense her sadness.
He asked a question.
"Why do you want to join the Helios guild?"
Vanessa stayed quiet for a while before answering.
"I want to become stronger so that I can protect my family. I think I have the best chance of that with the Helios guild."
"That is a good answer."
Lucas walked towards the young woman in her early twenties with a short but fit build. She had dark hair and eyes and was very attractive.
He lifted his hand and shook hers.
"Welcome to the Helios guild."
Vanessa stared into Lucas his unique and enchanting, sharp grey eyes.
He smiled at her and she felt her chest becoming warm.
'Why do I feel so comfortable around him?'
They went on to sign the contract and she was accompanied by an assistant to help her settle in like the others.
All the new members would stay until all interviews were over today.
Lucas was in his thoughts.
'I like her.'

They only interviewed a couple people before someone special appeared again.
A man in his 50s walked in.
Unlike people his age, he had a tall and fit build. He had grey hair and brown eyes.
He walked towards the chair in a confident and composed manner.
Lucas knew he was special.
'Odin's Eye.'
Name: Hugo Monet
Class: Tank/Sword Master
Level: 14
Stats:
Strength: 49
Agility: 32
Stamina: 36
Senses: 26
Intelligence: 29
Skills: Broadsword Mastery (A), Shield Mastery (B), Close Combat (C), Mana Shield (C), Taunt (D), Mana Gathering (D), Breathing Technique (C), Enhanced Strength (D), Enhanced Stamina (E), Sixth Sense (E)
'Holy shit! I didn't know you could have two classes. He also has a high level and strong stats.'
'But the most impressive thing is his skills.'
'Is he french? I think he is the strongest awakened I have met so far.'
Lucas could also immediately tell that Hugo was an honest person.
'He is exactly what we need.'
Every question they asked Hugo, he answered short and direct.
Lucas then asked like always.
"Why do you want to join the Helios guild?"
Hugo had a serious expression and answered.
"I wish to protect as many people as possible and I believe I can become stronger with the help of your guild."
Lucas smiled and replied.
"That's great. I like your answer."
"Hugo Monet, Welcome to the Helios guild."
Hugo stood up and smiled lightly while shaking hands with Lucas.
They then proceeded to do the paperwork before Hugo left with a guide.
Lucas talked with the others about how it was worth it to give Hugo a higher salary.
"I also plan to make him a team captain."
Francesco answered.
"That's a good idea!"
Leah also replied.
"I think so too. He is older and mature plus has a honest personality and is confident and composed."
Lucas talked again.
"Yes exactly and it also helps that he is strong."
Lucas then got a call.
A guild member reported that the E-rank gate was now officially theirs and the security guards were in place there.
'Great. But as soon as we have enough awakened members we should put them there as guards and have normal security only work in our guild buildings.'
Lucas then called for his avatars, William and Elara.
When they arrived he spoke.
"I want you two to farm experience inside our new E-rank gate. A guild member will guide you there and make sure not to destroy the gate core."
The human mage and elven female swordsman replied.
"Yes master."
They left right after.
'E-ranks might be too much for Elara, but with William's help she will level up much faster and I can evolve her then.'
'I wonder how Albert is doing in the smithy.'
After a short break they finally called for the next applicant.
And just like that 3 hours went by.
'In the last three hours we have found 4 useful people. It would have been 5, but one of them had a bad personality.'
Lucas thought back to the stats of the 4 new recruits.
