Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Birth of a Demon

The night sky was covered with menacing clouds, while the city lights shone brightly.

People bustled through the streets of the city that seemed never to sleep.

It was in this atmosphere that a young man of about nineteen stared at his phone with a frown.

Adrien had just finished his workday, but he ran into a small problem on his way back to the apartment.

His phone couldn't shake off a spam ad offering him a new life.

'Damn it, I just want to listen to music on my bus,' he thought plaintively to himself.

Unfortunately, all his attempts to escape this pseudo-virus led to nothing conclusive.

After about ten minutes at the bus stop, the young man decided to respond to the suspicious survey.

Was he risking a bank hack? No, since his account was already in the red.

He was even planning to ask his parents for money, as his paycheck was still far off.

So, he filled out the survey without paying much attention, due to his annoyance.

'The power of a demon from Chainsaw Man in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe? That's a funny idea for a second life,' he thought after completing the survey.

He put his earbuds back in after selecting the random death option, once the survey formalities were done.

He soon immersed himself in the vibe of the music that the spam had interrupted countless times.

Unfortunately, Adrien's fate had other plans for him than listening to music on his way home.

A truck surged from afar, shattering the peaceful city night's tranquility.

Due to the noise and commotion caused by the drunk driver, Adrien looked up from his phone and spotted the deadly danger of the uncontrollable vehicle.

There was no sign of slowing down, and the worst happened.

The truck zigzagging down the street suddenly veered toward Adrien without any warning.

The young man tried to dodge, but his body froze, paralyzed by fear.

The impact was brutal. The truck struck Adrien's body with tremendous force, hurling him to the other side of the street.

It all happened in an instant… and ended just as quickly.

The next day, the headlines were dominated by a tragic road accident.

Adrien #%•### died.

Meanwhile, the Jujutsu Kaisen universe welcomed a new life into its midst.

In the courtyard of the prestigious Kamo clan, joy now filled the atmosphere.

Yet, things were different in the delivery room.

The husband of the woman on the bed took the child that the midwife gently handed him.

The man grabbed the baby, but his anticipation and the joy in his eyes vanished.

"Horns? Fangs? This child is cursed!" he said in shock, after noticing the anomaly in the baby.

The father even dropped the child from his arms, but the mother caught him by maternal instinct.

She held him close before offering him her breast.

The joy brought by the arrival of a new member in the direct lineage of the clan head was replaced by whispers and rumors about a deformed child.

Despite this disastrous situation, the mother refused to abandon her baby or be separated from him.

She trusted no one after seeing how those around her treated her child.

"Even if the world hates you, Mommy will always be with you, my little Benimaru," she murmured, after giving him a light kiss on the forehead.

She gently stroked the child's tiny hand, as if to bestow her most sincere blessings upon him.

Unfortunately, young Benimaru's consciousness had only just arrived in this world. He couldn't yet perceive everything happening outside or understand Japanese.

Four years later.

"Indeed, I'm in Jujutsu Kaisen," muttered a little boy who had two red horns on his head.

The story of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga takes place in a modern, fictional Japan, which Adrien had already read in his previous life.

This universe is based on mysterious disappearances and the deaths of thousands of people each year in Japan.

Despite the efforts of the police and other law enforcement agents, it was impossible to solve these cases through normal means.

Yet, the truth had nothing to do with the logic of an ordinary modern human.

The disappearances and deaths are caused by cursed spirits.

Cursed spirits are formed by the accumulation of negative emotions passively emitted by humans, who do not control their cursed energy.

Examples: regrets, hatred, fear, jealousy, shame, and many others.

These supernatural creatures are invisible to ordinary people, but a special group of individuals can perceive them.

They are called Sorcerers and can fight them using cursed energy, which they master unlike ordinary humans.

In the world of Jujutsu, there are also powerful families of Sorcerers, known as the Three Great Families: the Kamo clan, the Zenin clan, and the Gojo clan.

The members of these families possess special cursed techniques and formidable power, which other Sorcerers respect and fear.

Benimaru Kamo was born into one of the Three Great Clans.

"Damn, this world is really screwed up," thought the little boy sitting in the courtyard.

He had a pensive face lost in his reflections, while his golden eyes gazed at the full moon in the sky.

When the boy realized he had transmigrated, Benimaru began gathering information.

This action was logical, since he was no longer at home but in the body of a kid.

Unfortunately, everyone around him spoke Japanese and didn't appreciate his presence much.

Worse still, Benimaru was subjected to isolation by the servants and family members.

This situation made learning the language difficult and gathering information even harder.

So, he had to start by learning Japanese on his own. At first, he thought it would take time.

But Benimaru was wrong.

The young boy learned the language to an intermediate level in just a few months, after recovering all his memories.

An amazing feat, since he was terrible at English back on Earth. After that, he investigated a bit and learned a lot.

One of them was his identity as a child of the direct lineage of the Kamo clan patriarch.

'Although the Kamo clan's strength is the weakest of the three great families, it's still part of them, so this starting point isn't bad,' he thought, observing the immense residence.

Moreover, Benimaru Kamo belonged to the main lineage, though it came with some nuances.

The current clan head had many concubines, and his mother was one of them, according to the servants' gossip.

After his birth, she was slowly distanced from the clan's high decision-making circles.

A situation that Benimaru attributed to his unique appearance.

"Honestly, I should've been more careful with my choice back then, but…" he paused in his thoughts, because the boy didn't like talking out loud about his previous life.

No one knows if all the patriarch's children are monitored, but he preferred to avoid the subject.

'But who could've guessed it was a real isekai scenario?' The boy wanted to swear but held back.

Beyond this annoying situation, he also noticed something else due to the jujutsu world's unrest.

Satoru Gojo was around the same age as him.

This information showed that he was on the eve of a chaotic era prepared by Kenjaku.

Should he hide like Mei Mei? The answer was no.

This decision didn't come from protagonist syndrome, but from cold logic.

Benimaru was already born into this reality, creating a butterfly effect just by his presence.

This seemingly negligible element was potentially dangerous in several ways.

Sukuna's defeat was no longer guaranteed.

"In all this mess, the only truly positive point is that I'm a demon," he muttered, before leaving the courtyard and walking toward his quarters.
