Synopsis
Thrown into the world of the last novel that he read, in the body of one of the major antagonists, a flawed and tragic character. Damien is aware that he is trapped, but he also knows that the world is destined to die if he doesn't play his role as a villain to push the main character to grow, yet a tragic fate awaits him if he just plays a villain. So he is stuck in an odd position, not only as a catalyst for the world to survive, but also because he is neither the Damien from the real world nor the Damien from the book. He is a mixture of both of their tendencies and their flaws. Can he use all of the tools at his disposal to survive, from his body's immense talent for magic, to his noble background? But one thing is certain to him, though, he can't follow the script but tear it down and write a new one with his bloody hands for the sake of the world and his new family.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Awakening.

Monrock Academy Noble student dorms.

Damien opens his eyes and stares up at the roof, and then he is assaulted by an influx of memories. Memories that belong to him, yet both sets of memories are contradictory.

Damien gets up from his bed, holding his head and stumbles over to his desk and grabs a pen. He activates the magic in the pen and starts to write down the most important information from his memories of earth.

'Could I be dreaming? No, even if I was in a coma, I wouldn't have memories of Avia because they never gave any background information about Damien." Damien starts to write down locations, dates and persons of interest that he should keep an eye out for in English.

The Damien of earth was a normal guy that played a game called Arcane Legacy, which chronicles the adventures of Allison at her magical college. It starts off as a dating sim before everything goes to hell with the demonic invasion.

Normally this wouldn't be that big of a problem, since in theory he could just leave everything to her as the game isn't especially difficult as long as you don't get unlucky and follow the optimal path.

The problem is who the Damien of Avia is, he is the central villain of the academy arc of the game and a recurring villain during the demonic invasion because he sells his souls to demons to get more power.

'But, I wouldn't do that. Even without the other Damien's memories, I would never leave my sisters to die.' Damien thinks to himself that most of the information that he knows from the game matches what he knows, yet everything about Damien is wrong or things that are out of character for himself.

'I need a plan of action, I can't stop being Allison's enemy because she needs me to grow stronger and act as a wall. ' Damien knows Allison, a lot more than she knows herself. She has a lot of potential but she is overconfident right now or should be. Considering she hasn't met him yet.

'Wait, today is the 16th of May. Which means this should be the start of the house party crasher mission.' Damien stops writing and taps the pen across the desk. 'What to do with her, fighting her isn't the right answer right now.'

It wasn't a question of where he could win or not, Damien knows that he can and will win, both sets of memories are telling him that he can. The question is does he want to win currently as it can cause a chain reaction.

'If I am needed for her growth, then maybe I should be her rival?' Damien puts down the pen and thinks about it for a second. 'It's the only thing that would work.'

Damien grabs the book that he was writing on and places it within the drawer of the table, and then a loud boom is heard and the building lightly vibrates. 'She should be making her way upstairs now.'

Damien gets up from his desk and grabs his jacket from the closet, he is going to go for a little walk. He opens the door to the dorm hallway and begins his walk to the stairs. 'I wonder if my mana pressure will be enough, using a spell would get me in trouble with the advisor.'

***POV Switch***

Allison runs through the halls with a clear goal in mind, bringing down those pretentious arrogant nobles. 'Right, there should only be a few more left on the list. Damien Blackwood and Erica Hendricks are the head people I should be looking for.'

Allison just couldn't take it anymore, Monrock Academy was supposed to be different, a place without inequality and social rankings yet it was the same as everyone else. So Allison decided to rebel against that idea by protesting, storming the student dorms and beating the noble students on their home turf was just the start.

Allison sprints around the corner and arrives at the stairs, before she could climb it. She sees someone at the top of the stairs. 'Black hair, blue eyes, a little handsome? I guess that's Damien.'

Allison stands up straight before taking a deep breath in, she grips her wand in her hand and starts to form her magic circuits for her wind magic. "Prepare yourself Damien, I am here to beat you."

"Wind Cut-" Before Allison could finish her sentence, she felt an overwhelming sense of pressure crash down on her. The magic circuits for the wind cutter crumble under the weight, and Allison finds it harder to breathe as she collapses to her knees.

Allison pushes her to look up to the top of the stairs, and for the first time in her life she felt like she was going to die. It isn't like she has never been in danger before, but she genuinely felt like she was going to be killed by the man before her. She could see the sheer amount of hate and disdain within his eyes. 'No, I can't, I can't stop here. Even if I die, I have to get up for them.'

Allison bites down on her lip as she tries to force herself to stand, forcing her body to move. Damien sees this and starts to walk down the stairs, Allison readies her wand and starts to concentrate, and blocks out her surroundings. 'If wind magic doesn't work, then use water, if water doesn't work then just use the raw mana itself.'

Allison cycled through every spell that she knew off the top of her head, every single one crumbled under the pressure, all except for mana bolt. The simplest and weakest spell that every mage learns. 'I will only have one shot.'

Allison looks up and Damien is right in front of her, he looks at her for a second before turning away and walking right past her. "If that's all you amount to, then I don't advance you to go up those stairs as you will run into actual competent people."

"Yo.. You're letting me go?" Allison is confused, it just doesn't make sense with the killer intent he just directed towards her. 'Is this a trick?'

"Yeah, you aren't strong enough for me to actually need to do anything." Damien looks back at her and smirks, Allison notices that Damien no longer had the killer intent in his eyes. "And good job with using mana bolt, I was using my mana to interrupt your mana. It only works with elemental spells."

'Was all of this just a test to see how strong I was?' Allison watches as Damien leaves, she looks up at the stairs before looking back down at the ground. She grits her teeth before looking back at Damien. "Thanks, but this isn't the end of this. So just you wait and see, I am going to kick your ass."

Damien stops and looks back at Allison, he withdraws the pressure that he was exerting. "Can't wait to see what you are capable of, little robin."

***POV Switch***

Damien walks through the first floor of the dorms and looks at the mess around him and sighs, most of the students whether common or noble are getting treated by the staff. Some students look at him funny, but he just ignores them and walks outside.

Once outside Damien finds a tree and leans back against it, he puts his hand over his face as he breaks out in a cold sweat. 'What was that, the moment I locked eyes with her. I genuinely wanted to kill her.'

'At least I was able to get it under control in time, Allison doesn't seem to be too affected by my outburst, so that's good.' Damien allows himself to slide down to the ground against the tree, then the sky rumbles and he hears lightning in the distance as it causes him to flinch. 'I guess dying from lightning will do that to yuh.'

"Thunder bolt." Damien snaps his finger and a lightning magic circuit forms before striking the nearby ground, he winces a bit but he wasn't in any pain. 'It's a bit stronger, my body or mana hasn't changed but my understanding has.'

"Fire bolt." Damien repeats the process again but with his fire magic, it's stronger than it was before but not to the same extent his lightning magic was super charged. He sighs, and laughs to himself before getting up. 'Looks like I will have to get over my fear quickly, lightning is going to be the strongest piece of arsenal for now.'

'With the dorms in the state that they are in now, I hope she isn't too busy.' Since Damien plans to survive until the very end for the sake of his family in this world, he has to make some changes to the Damien of Avia's plans, which includes no more holding back and handicapping himself.
