Chapter 29 - The Unwelcome Visitors*

The strangers stumbled back, their eyes wide with surprise as they stared at Mia. In a twink of an eye, Mia's gaze locked onto Amara's, and she spoke to her telepathically, "Kill one."

Amara's eyes gleamed with a fierce, vampire intensity, and she moved with lightning speed. Her hands drove into one of the stranger's chests, and she grasped his heart, pulling it out with a sickening squelch. The stranger fell to the ground, lifeless.

"If you move, you die," Amara growled, her voice low and menacing.

The leaders of the supernatural communities were shocked, their eyes fixed on Mia and Amara in stunned silence. The leader of the strangers shouted, "I'm not afraid of you!"

Mia's eyes narrowed, and she disappeared from her seat, reappearing in front of the leader of the strangers. She recited a spell, and the leader began to lose life, his body aging rapidly. In a second, he turned to dust, his clothes falling to the ground with a soft whisper.

Mia returned to her seat, a small smile on her lips. "You should be afraid," she said, her voice dripping with confidence.

She turned to her friends and said, "Escort the unwanted visitors out of the house."

Carla, Amara, and Kai moved swiftly, killing the remaining strangers. Only one was left alive, a test to see what he would do.

Carla chanted a spell, and the blood on the floor turned to dust, leaving the room spotless. The leaders of the supernatural communities were shaken, their eyes fixed on Mia in awe.

"How...how did you do that?" the witch leader asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Mia smiled, her eyes glinking with amusement. "I'm full of surprises," she said, her voice dripping with confidence.

The leaders nodded, their eyes fixed on Mia with a newfound respect. They knew they had underestimated her, and they would not make that mistake again.

As they departed, Kai turned to Mia, a concerned expression on his face. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.

Mia nodded, a small smile on her lips. "I'm fine, Kai. Thanks to Amara."

Amara shrugged, her eyes still gleaming with energy. "Just doing my job," she said, her voice husky.

The three of them stood there for a moment, the tension in the room dissipating as they shared a moment of quiet camaraderie.

But as they turned to leave, Mia's eyes caught sight of something that made her heart skip a beat. A small, intricately carved box sat on the table, a note attached to it with a single word: "Mine".

Mia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. What was this? And who had left it for her
