Chapter 30 - The Message from the Past

Lyrein's eyes widened in shock as he took in the scene before him. The room was spotless, the blood and chaos of the previous moments erased as if by magic. Mia stood tall, her eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity.

"Are you okay?" Lyrein asked, his voice lfilled with concern.

Mia nodded, her expression determined. "I need to be ready for what's going to happen," she said, her voice firm. "I'm going upstairs."

Lyrein nodded, his eyes still wide with surprise. "I'll come with you," he said, following her as she turned to ascend the stairs.

Kai, Amara, and Carla exchanged worried glances, then followed Lyrein and Mia upstairs. As they reached the top, Mia's eyes landed on a wooden box on a table in the hallway. It was heavy, but as she focused on it, the crescent mark on her neck began to glow.

The box opened with a soft creak, revealing a holographic message inside. A figure that looked eerily like her father stood before her, his eyes filled with a warm smile.

"Mia, we are watching you," the message said. "You should trust your friends. I hope you're grasping your power. One day, rescue us."

The message ended, leaving Mia stunned. Lyrein's eyes widened in shock as he watched the message.

"Your parents are not dead," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "It looks like they were trying to tell you something."

Mia's eyes locked onto Lyrein's, a newfound confidence burning within her. She felt a surge of determination, a sense of purpose.

"I'm ready," she said, her voice firm. "I'm ready to face whatever is coming."

The group stood in silence for a moment, the weight of the message sinking in. Then, without a word, they knew what they had to do.

They would prepare, they would train, and they would face whatever threats were coming their way. For Mia, the journey was just beginning, and she was ready to take on the challenge.
