Geis's head was throbbing with pain. He felt as if his face was getting strangled.
His breathing was inconsistent, and drops of sweat poured down his body.
'Ahh! It hurts! Wait... where am I?'
Geis was inside an open casket with around a dozen men and women surrounding him. The people stared at Geis with tears of joy.
"It's truly a miracle!"
"Our king defied death for us!"
Geis was very confused. He observed the crowd and realized that they were all strangers. Suddenly, his head throbbed once more, stronger than the previous throbs.
In a flash, years of memories and information flashed in his mind. 'These aren't my emotions...'
'Wait... did I reincarnate?!' His heart pounded so loudly he thought others could hear it.

According to the memories that flashed in Geis's mind, the previous ruler of this kingdom went by Lord Geis Astrelius.
'This has to be fate... I mean, the guy has the same name as me!'
'These men and women also called me Lord Geis and took me to this room...'
The vast room had a large golden mirror, fancy oak desks and bookshelves, and a grand bed. Geis was observing himself in the mirror.
"I look the same... this must mean I am the king." He muttered to himself.
A woman called for Geis from the other side of the door. Geis's train of thought was broken, so he sighed and curiously opened the door.
"It really is you! I missed you, honey!" A beautiful woman with long red hair jumped at Geis.
She crushed him with her chest, leaving him gasping for air.
"Mmph! Mmph!!" Geis tried to push her away, but her deathly grip was too strong.
She finally let go and stared intensely at him. Then, a tear drop slowly ran down her face. "Y'know... I really missed you..." Her voice cracked as she stared, sobbing.
'So this is the previous king's wife, Aurora. Even though I accepted my death, reincarnating as a king with a beautiful wife isn't bad either!'
He began to zone out while Aurora vented while crying on his shoulder. 'Should I stop her?'
Then, he heard another voice from outside. "Lord Geis, we know you are just recovering, but we could use your help right now."
Aurora stopped her tears and sat beside Geis on the bed. 'That must be the research department.'
While Geis was walking to the door, he heard a chime.
Suddenly, a blue holographic screen appeared in front of him.

"Interesting... so this isn't only in video games," he mumbled as he smirked.
"What did you say, my dear?"
He scratched his messy blue hair and replied.
"Nothing, I just said my scalp was itchy."
"Well, of course it would be! You were asleep for two months!" Aurora exclaimed as she chuckled.
Geis opened the door with a smile. There were three old men behind the door. "Lord Geis, you really are alive." They said as their eyes became watery.
"Now now, don't cry!" Geis awkwardly chuckled.
"Hmph!" Aurora expressed jealousy.
"Apologies, His Majesty. But we have been stuck for almost a month. With our adventure department adventuring in the ocean, we found this mysterious object. It seems expensive, so we prayed for your return for you to observe this."
A new screen appeared in front of Geis.

The three elders of the research department handed over a blue crystal ball to Geis. The ball was clear and surprisingly strong. It had a small blue fire inside it.
