i am transmigrated and unfortunately I am a character an Omega son 'Pearl', betrothed to Beta Crown Prince Yendrick since childhood. Everyone says pearl is the most worthy of him.
But pearl know the truth—Yendrick has never loved him.
Because he has Eri.
Eri—pearl half-sister, the beta daughter of a lowly servant, scorned and bullied since birth. But years ago, when Yendrick first came to pearl house for the engagement, he saw Eri—a small, trembling girl curled up in a corner, tears streaming down her pale cheeks.
From that moment on, he never took his eyes off her.
He protected her, shielding her from harm. When Eri was mistreated, he stood up for her. When she cried, he wiped her tears and comforted her. He loved Eri—with a love so deep and unwavering that nothing in this world could change it.
Pearl waited, hoping that one day he would turn toward him. But instead, he knelt before the Emperor and begged to break off the engagement—just to marry Eri.
A servant’s daughter—how could she ever be fit to be Crown Princess?
Furious, the Emperor gave him a condition: If Yendrick could lead the army to war and defeat the invaders, he would grant the request.
No one believed he would do it. But for Eri, he was willing to risk everything.
For a year, he fought, bathed in blood and fire. When he returned, his body was covered in scars, the scent of death still clinging to him.
But the first thing he did was not return to the palace.
He came to Pearl home—where Eri was waiting.
The doors burst open, icy wind sweeping in.
Yendrick had returned.
His black armor was stained with dried blood, his dark eyes hollow from war.
Pearl rose to his feet, but he didn’t look at Pearl.
He walked straight to Eri, ignoring everyone else.
Under the stunned gazes of the entire household, he pulled Eri into his arms, holding her as if he could never let go.
His breath was heavy, his voice hoarse from the battlefield.
“I’ve returned, Eri.” He exhaled shakily, pressing his forehead against hers. “I kept my promise. The Emperor will agree. I can finally marry you.”
