Baldwin's Mansion
Good days don't last for anyone, including Savannah. Here she was at Bladwin's Mansion in Mr Baldwin's room, and now she wonder if she is a doctor or just a caretare trapped in one confined place, being a surgeon where most of your time spends in operating room this was surethe worst joke of her life. She isn't looking down at any profession but she is a surgeon a doctor, she should be doing surgeries, take a patient round, read reports, charts but this was totally a life turn for her. She thought if how long would she be doing this.
Seating there for an hour, she decides to go to her favorite spot in the whole mansion, the patio.
It was the perfect place to relax, refresh her mind in the presense of nature and unwind it. She took a seat on the small bench and enjoyed the view in front, the sun was beginning to set, creating an orange and purple sky.
Only 10 minutes and she was beggining to relax, her mind started to feel more at ease and refreshed. She leant back on the seat, relaxing herself more, watched the sun go down until her eyes felt heavy and everything went blank.
2 Hours Later
Savannah could feel her muscles gradually relax and soften, she then slowly opened her eyes, Her vision was hazy; she was unable to see clearly until, after a moment, her sight improved and she could perceive everything.
A giant blue painting covered one wall, filling the space with its deep, dreamlike colors.
Something felt wrong.
She scanned the entire place, there was a huge floor to ceiling window on her left side through which she saw the clouds were dark indicating storm coming.
As her mind cleared, a sudden memory broke through the confusion. She had been outside on the patio just a moment ago. So how had she ended up here, in this strange, clean bedroom?
Laying on the bed, a huge king-sized bed, carefully tucked under the blanket.
Her heart pounded like crazy as she took in the surrounding. Every second the uneasiness grew. She felt a shock of fear immediately after the confusion. What took place? How did I get here?
The questions were bouncing off her head but she thrust them out of her head and sat up. The bed was huge--sumptuous, even--but merely increased her confusion. She started to feel a shiver of despair slowly sink into her, her spine, her powerlessness.
Her eyes were flitting around the room and it came to rest on her heels, neatly seated opposite the bed near a small chair and table. She soon put them to her feet, as she still trying to make everything out. She did not waste another minute, and walked out, with every step getting heavier, to the door and out into the corridor.
Once outside the bedroom, she realized that she was on the same floor as Mr. Baldwin. Her heart was knotted with anxiety. Her pulse might be rushing, yet she continued to walk, her steps getting faster and faster as she walked along the long corridor to his room.
Reached for his door and, without hesitation, swung it open.Inside, the room was dimly lit, silent, but there was mr. baldwin lying on his bed. After checking on him. She didn't have time to waste. She grabbed her purse off the side table and walked back the way she had come, not stopping until she was back in the hallway, her confusion was growing more longer.
Once she was walking down the stairs, Savannah again had a thought that struck her. She was relaxing in the patio, right? so how come she was inside tucked into the bed? She can't possibly have sleep walked there herself .
Does that mean someone bought her there?
How could they touch her without her consent?
They would have woken her up, this is not acceptable.
Savannah stormed down the stairs and there she saw Blaze sitting upside on the couch in the living room, with his assistant standing next to him as he spoke.
"You're awake, Ms. Miller," Savannah heard Blaze's voice, and she wondered how did know her presence? He didn't even glanced to her way.
He was fully obsorbed in his work.
And Savannah decided to walk up to him to get answers to her questions. He would know.
She paced and stood in front of him.
"I have a question." She said
He did not say anything for a moment, but then "Go on."
"how did I end up in that bedroom?" Savannah asked with zero hesitation as anger has gotten best of her.
Now Blaze seemed to have stopped reading, had his eyes ditached from the file in his hand, his hazel eyes fell onto Savannah, and Savannah just stared at him blankly for an answer which he hasn't gotten.
"We tried waking you up but you seemed too heavy in your sleep so I decided to take you inside." Leaning back to his seat, Blaze finally gave her an answer.
"Don't worry Ms. Miller I haven't touched you, nor any of my men, I got you inside by the help of some of the ladies staff working here." He added.
Surprisingly his answers were exactly what was going inside her head, not what she was speaking.
Blaze's words somewhat relieved Savannah, she was so impatient for the answer.
Her muscles beggining to relax.
But-
"But I haven't seen a single women in this house?" Savannah questioned when she remembered that she hasn't seen a single soul in the form of women.
"I called some for a help, Ms. Miller" Blaze again answered with such a calm voice, that it almost felt honey dip.
And the silence fell between them.
Until her eyes landed on the huge clock right behind blaze.
9 PM!
"Well then, Mr. Baldwi-" She was cutted off.
"Call me, Blaze." He corrected her.
She nodded "Um Blaze, It's getting late, I'll take the leave" She said and was about to walk out when "Savannnah" he called her by my name.
And it's sounded too good in his heavy and raspy voice that she kind of liked..?
She looked at him, "Let me drop you," he said as he got up from his seat.
"No, Mr. Baldwin-" she tried refusing but - "Call me Blaze, Savannah." and he walked toward the door leading out.
"I'll be waiting outside." saying this he existed the place.
Am I really going with him? Really?
Driving alone with Blaze in the night was enough to push Savannah to the edge of her sanity.
Don't get her wrong—he's a good person, at least, that's what Savannahthink he is—but there's something about the way he looks at her sometimes that makes her question everything.
It's hard to pinpoint that, but there's a certain... intensity in his gaze that leaves her feeling uncertain. Maybe she is overthinking, maybe it's nothing, but that look? It sticks with her.
"Are you comfortable?" Blaze asked her as she was drowned in her own thoughts.
"Yes, I'm." She answered and again her eyes fell outside the window, looking at the street lights.
She was in Blaze's Mercedes, which looked incredibly expensive. Earlier in the mansion when Savannah was about to get into her car, Blaze insisted that they take his instead for convenience.
He reassured her that her car would be safe and that someone would come and deliver it in the morning to her house. He's quite thoughtful, isn't he? But still, doubts lingered in her mind.
She turns to him and stared at his side profile as his gaze took everything outside that unfold, "Why are you being too good to me?" She didn't know why, but she blurted out the question.
He turns to her as well and gave her his smile a little which again was invisible but it was there while examining it.
She then looked up into his eyes which just stared at down at her.
He slowly starts to lean toward her, and said something that shocked her.
"It's because I admire you Savannnah"
