Chapter 1 - 1: A kind of... inconvenient mutant

"It's... I'm screwed" Said a voice in a dark room.

With a little lighting, you could see a boy with black hair, brown eyes and white skin, with a somewhat comical and thoughtful expression.

Martin Cooper This was the name of the teenager who recently turned 18. A simple boy from Brooklyn. But he had a secret.

Martin was a reincarnated. Someone who died and had the chance to be reborn in another world.

In his ancient world, Martin was a simple fan of comics, especially marvel and DC, who had just entered college, when he was killed during a terrorist attack on his school.

Let's say one of his colleagues was dumb enough to try to stop a bomber. I think we all already know the result.

Then, Martin found a divine being who, without many explanations, decided to send him to marvel and promised to give him some powers so that he could live for a long time in that world.

And that's what happened. Martin reincarnated as a newborn baby inside the marvel universe in New York.

He still kept the same name and appearance of his past life, and was lucky to have loving and understanding parents who managed to provide him with an ordinary life. But unfortunately they died in an accident a little after he graduated from high school.

Martin was really sad about it, but not so much. The only people he considered as parents were his parents from the past life, his parents in this life were simply strangers who took care of him without asking for anything in return.

But now that we summarize his life so far, you may be wondering, what powers did Martin gain? Simple.

Schizophrenia. Just Kidding.

Martin was a mutant, but his powers were divided into 5 different personalities counting on him.

Yes, Martin had multiple personality disorder, an unfortunate consequence that he gained with his powers. Apart from that, there were 4 other main personalities.

Wisher, who had the power to grant wishes. Yes, literally, one of his personalities could grant wishes of any kind.

No matter the type of desire or the intentions behind it, Wisher doubled the impossible and the possible and reality itself to make it happen. But there was a catch.

He couldn't grant himself wishes, and that also included Martin. An unfortunate limitation.

Wisher was basically a conceited, arrogant and spoiled child who thinks he can do whatever he wants. What you see from a certain point of view, is even true.

Next was Mayuri, who could manipulate matter the way he wanted.

Whether iron, sand, stone, wood, as long as it is matter Mayuri can assemble, disassemble, reassemble and reformulate it the way he wants. This also included organic matter.

Mayuri could disassemble and reassemble living bodies the way he wanted, being able to change everything he wanted, be it appearance, functioning of the body, organs and even the person's DNA.

Mayuri could be said as a mad scientist, always trying to convince Martin to kill people, especially mutants, to be able to open the bodies and analyze them.

A complete madman.

Next, Helena. Yes, one of Martin's personalities was a woman. But these are just details.

Helena could absorb, manipulate and generate any form of known energy. If it absorbs electricity, it would be able to generate and manipulate electricity, if radiation is absorbed, it would be able to generate and manipulate radiation and so on.

Helena was a quiet girl and hardly bothered Martin, unlike the 2 mentioned before, but sometimes it was very difficult to deal with him.

And finally, the most powerful of all, Null. It will take a while to mention all his powers, but let's go:

Super strength, super speed, super resistance, regeneration, shadow manipulation, telepathy, telekinesis, psychokinesis, energy manipulation, matter manipulation, biokinesis, chemokinesis, magic, element manipulation (fire, water, stone, thunder, ice, wind), light reality manipulation, light temporal manipulation, etc. on. Basically, he was a living entity within Martin's mind.

Null was the one who spoke the least among all. He spoke with some frequency, but they were usually short phrases or dry words, nothing that could maintain prolonged communication. He was calm, cold and silent, the kind of person who exudes respect when you look at him.

And finally there was Martin. The dominant personality that had superhuman physical attributes and a strong resistance to telepathy. Nothing very impressive, but strong in your own way.

Martin lived with all of them since he was 5 years old, which was when he awakened his powers, and their relationship was strangely common. None of the personalities wanted to take his body or kill him, but they didn't help him willingly either and hardly moved unless it was a life or death situation.

In short, they were basically brothers. They helped each other when they could, but they wouldn't always do that. It was a healthy relationship.

And Martin could not use the powers of other personalities without their permission or unless he let one of them possess him, something he hardly did. Martin had a great sense of self-preservation and would not prostitute his body without valid justification.

But now that we have all this explained, why was Martin nervous? Because of the hundreds of anti-mutant division soldiers who were around his apartment.

It seems that some soldier of the division had passed by him with a mutant tracker in his pocket and had detected it a few days ago. A very unfortunate coincidence.

And to make matters worse. They had brought sentinels, the iron and steel monsters whose specialty was to capture and kill mutants.

Yeah, Martin was screwed in many different ways now.
