Act 1: The late beginning
In the modern age, power is absolute.
In a world where magic is the fundamental source of military and individual might alike, a world governed by the system, the SOF system, mere organizations can possess the power to oppose military might, power to rule the universe, and the power to bend the very laws of reality.
In this world of power, magic and leadership, exits a boy, loved by order and chaos alike, the frost element in the memories that were meant to be warm, born with power beyond his control, power so overwhelming, his body simply could not endure.
Raised as the heir to the Hoshino family, Aki Hoshino was born a sickly child, his mana reserves and concentration were so intense that they caused decomposition of his body, 12 years, those are the years which he endured until he finally could not. The boy fell into a coma, for 3 years, there was only silence, the only hope in his parents hearts being the monitor that ensured he had not left them.
Although the Hoshino family were not saints, they found themselves performing any type of goodness, as a sign of prayer, a sign that they are willing to do anything for the survival of the young man, their prayers were finally answered. On a winter evening, disaster struck, a calamity appeared in the city, a monstrosity so terrifying, even the top military hesitated to engage against it, however, the beast did not seem to have any intentions of destruction, but was rather focused on the Hoshino family estate. For some strange reasons, the beast seemed to have come specifically for the Hoshino family.
With a deafening roar, the beast sent every military personnel in front of it flying for hundreds of meters, then it spoke, " creatures of this world, I have not come to cause havoc, I merely came to seek, my destined master, the wielder of the omni, my king, the chaos sovereign" . The words were spoken, the fact that they were said by a monster of this caliber, made them even more devastating.
With everyone still in shock, the beast proceeded, before it was stopped by a cold, mechanical voice, " Alert ! Transcendent existence detected, attempting peace negotiations, Ragnar beast, what are your reasons for being here ? " the voice asked, this voice belonged to the system, the system that governs the multiverse, the SOF system.
" Do you wish to object my intentions wise one? ", the Ragnar beast asked, its voice calm but with a hint of impatient malice. " Negative, my intentions are to assess the immediate danger faced by the inhabitants of this world", replied the SOF.
Since the monster had clearly stated its business, there was no reason for the SOF to try and stop it, and so it continued its advance towards the Hoshino family estate.
"My liege, I have come to serve you, our brethren have long awaited your return. however, given your current situation, it seems I cannot take you home. your presence is confined to this– peasant filled world". Evervone at the scene fell silent, as if the world itself had lost all sound, the words were clear, firm and decisive, yet even after hearing that insult no man dared make a noise. "Wise one, will I be wrong if presume this was your doing", the monster asked, its voice losing all signs of politeness, clearly, this discovery was not at all pleasing, "Ragnar beast, subject code Er 404, is explicitly confined to this reality by birthright, His release shall only be granted given his dormant power has matured, no negotiations are permitted nor entertained", at that moment, the SOF did not hold back, saying each word with cold, calculated authority. "Hahaha", a sudden, deep laughter echoed throughout the city, the Ragnar beast could not hold back the amusement as it spoke, " Wise one, it seems you have forgotten who I am, daring to oppose my cause, it seems that in this age, even soulless creatures can gain arrogance. "Negative, Ragnar beast, I am the guardian of the reality you have invaded, although I understand your reasons, I cannot bend the rules just to satisfy you, however there might be a compromise that can satisfy both sides, do you wish to hear it? Although it sounded like a genuine question, the Ragnar beast immediately understood, because of its vast knowledge and age based experience with this reality, it knew what the compromise was, "A binding contract, i presume". "Affirmative" the SOF responded, Ragnar beast, i believe that someone of your level of intelligence understands the laws clearly, so a binding contract is the only way for you to stay with the subject, or as you have declared, the chaos sovereign".
And so just like that, the main conflict reached its conclusion, the binding contract was a magical process of binding the subordinate to its master through a master to subordinate relationship, but because the Ragnar beast was much stronger than Aki, it had to heavily suppress itself, becoming a mere fox, with its terrifying presence intertwined with the omni core, effectively balancing the power and saving the boy's body from total decomposition.
The entire family was shocked, a monster of such caliber, determined to serve their child, why was that? Is there something they don't know? These were the questions on everyone's minds but they knew, the answer would never reveal itself easily.
Just a week later, and after 3 long years, the boy finally woke up. The awakening of the heir was celebrated by nearly ten entire city, "the good deeds of the Hoshino family finally paid off", we're the words said by many, this event was followed by 2 years of intense, physical therapy, being immobile for 3 years was a great toll on Aki's senses, even though everything seemed overly vibrant, the same could not be said about his physical condition, he had gone gaunt, could barely stand nor walk, the hardest part was over, but a new challenge awaited. Recovery, and the inevitable return to school.
2 years later, the young heir was finally ready, his true life, his second chance, starting at that exact moment.
