Chapter 11 - Ch.11

Dinner

Dinner was a hearty meal of black chicken soup and stewed beef. For Koneko, a girl living alone in Japan, this was an incredibly luxurious dinner.

However, for Luo Guang, it was just another regular night.

He wouldn't let his stomach suffer at home, even if he had to at school. What's more, he had a little glutton to feed.

"Delicious!" Koneko said, and then didn't stop eating. In twenty minutes, she had already finished four bowls of rice. Her normally flat stomach was now round and plump. If anyone saw her, they'd think Luo Guang had done something to her.

Est, on the other side of the table, was equally competitive. She couldn't normally eat this much, but she instinctively started to compete with Koneko today.

After the meal, Koneko offered to wash the dishes, and then said her goodbyes to Luo Guang.

As she walked home, Koneko patted her full belly, a look of longing on her face. "If I could just live there, I could eat delicious food every day."

But she had no reason to move in, and she didn't have the nerve to just mooch off of him.

"I'll just come over for dinner every day," she thought, immediately coming up with a compromise.

"Aren't you worried? Koneko is a girl," Est said, looking at Luo Guang from the sofa.

"Even if she's a girl, she's a devil. No one is safer than her," Luo Guang laughed.

Est nodded and went back to watching her cartoon.

Meanwhile, Luo Guang began to sort through his new gains. His Diligence Rewards ability wasn't just for speeding up cultivation.

Having spent so much time with Koneko, he had naturally refined some magical power from within his body. And today, after spending more time with Koneko, he had a new discovery: Immortal Qi.

Although Koneko was a devil, her true identity was that of a cat sith, an extremely rare type of cat demon. This kind of rare demon was skilled in the use of Immortal Qi and arts.

The process of refining Immortal Qi was much simpler and smoother compared to magical power. The biggest difference between them was that Immortal Qi was the fundamental energy stored within plants, animals, and humans, and it had no direct destructive power.

Because it was already present, refining it was much easier than creating magical power out of thin air.

Of course, if any Immortal Qi user knew that Luo Guang had refined Immortal Qi in just a few days, their minds would be blown. After all, even for naturally born demons, it was not easy to cultivate Qi. Many took years, a decade, or even decades to succeed, and even then, their Qi was very weak.

As for the effects of his cultivation, they were simple and practical.

Luo Guang could now close his eyes and clearly sense the flow of Qi.

Although many life forms couldn't cultivate Qi, they all had a special aura just by being alive.

Devils had a purple aura, angels had a golden one, humans and other normal races had a pure white one, and Est's aura was silver and very powerful.

The fact that Luo Guang had come this far was at least half thanks to Est.

Getting back to the point.

While Qi could not be used for direct attacks, it was like the spiritual energy in a cultivator's body. This caused Luo Guang's physical body to grow stronger with the Immortal Qi.

Although the improvement was currently slow and small, his body was noticeably lighter and his strength was much greater than before.

The Qi flowed gently within his body, continuously giving off a cool sensation. The effects of the Immortal Qi far exceeded Luo Guang's expectations.

Even if he were to specialize in this path, he could become a powerful being on par with a Devil King in the future. A Devil King was the strongest combatant in the devil race.

Above them were the Transcendents.

Of course, a "Transcendent" was just a title. A Transcendent's power was generally more than ten times that of a regular Devil King. It was like the difference between a Saiyan, a Super Saiyan 1, and a Super Saiyan 2 in Dragon Ball.

The only regret was that he didn't have a matching secret technique or cultivation method. While he could always figure it out through hard work, having one was always better than not having one.

While Est continued to watch her cartoon, Luo Guang continued to strengthen the Immortal Qi in his body.

Immortal Qi could enhance his physical attributes, and once his body became stronger, his other abilities would also improve.

With his ability letting him feel his progress in real time, Luo Guang felt even more motivated.

As he cultivated, his previously weak Immortal Qi gradually grew stronger. If it was a small grain of rice at the start, in just a few hours it had become a small spring.

At the same time, the special aura that was once visible to ordinary people began to fade, making Luo Guang look no different from a normal person on the surface again.
