With her deft fingers working on her, Sonia's locks were straightened in no time before the high ponytail was done.
With the hairstyle done, Sonia rose from the dressing table and moved to the walk-in closet where she found that day's outfit on the hanger.
She didn't need Sandy to help with the dressing, so she did that on her own and moments later, the white bodycon dress was hanging on her body as if she was born with it.
Sonia twirled around, checking herself in the full-length mirror, and felt pretty much satisfied with the dress. It wasn't too short or too long. It was somewhere in the middle and perfect for her.
Sandy had picked a dress with a plunging neckline, which made her bountiful chest look very pleasing to her eyes.
It took a while for her to finish dressing up, but when she was done, she was full of smiles.
Once she was done, she left the closet and met with Sandy, who was waiting for her holding a branded structured handbag in hand.
Knowing that all her items were already in that bag, Sonia didn't take it from Sandy but walked past her and the other followed behind.
The two of them went to the main dining room, away from her quarters, where breakfast was served hot.
Sonia ate her breakfast in silence, and no one disturbed her at that moment.
After the meal, she left the house and headed outside where the white sedan was already waiting.
"Good morning, Ma'am," Gerald greeted politely as he opened the door.
Sonia smiled faintly at Gerald as she nodded at him before boarding the car.
Gerald followed into the car and, after settling down, the driver drove the car away.
Sitting inside the car, Sonia was holding a financial newspaper while Gerald reported something to her.
"I have managed to gather incriminating evidence against the agent as well as the agency's CEO. I have already sent the information to lawyer Rivers. So, once you get your certificate, the master's matter can be solved."
Shua.
Sonia flipped the newspaper's page and hummed a response in response, and Gerald continued with his report.
"There was additional information on the master's former best friend and ex-girlfriend. As long as they offend us, the information can be of use.
There is another program that the master can appear on. The director of that show and the previous one are enemies. As long as we invest in the program, the master can get a free pass in the crew. With that show, I believe that the master can fulfil his dreams."
When she heard that, Sonia's gaze shook for a moment before she raised her head to look at Gerald and said, "Then invest. No matter how much money is needed. Just give it. We should let Liam join. I want to see the previous crew getting crashed. How dare they mess with what is mine?" her tone filled with iciness; Gerald shivered slightly but maintained his calm.
It wasn't the first time that his boss had reacted coldly like that. He was used to it.
"I will make that happen. Also, regarding the matter of the studio, I will start looking for a place as well as a person who can manage the master. Do you perhaps have anyone in mind?" Gerald asked as he looked at her.
Upon hearing that, Sonia closed her eyes as she sought the trusted people by her side. After going through the long list, a certain face appeared in her mind.
"Have Rita become his manager. If she has any issues, tell her to meet me later," Sonia seriously said as she looked at Gerald with an unquestionable gaze.
Gerald was shocked when he heard that, but his shock was an inward thing. So, he didn't show it. After all, Rita was part of the secretarial office and a trusted aide. She was one of the few secretaries who were capable of handling projects personally. To think that such a person was being sent to manage Liam showed how serious the matter was.
"I will pass on the message," he could only acquiesce before reporting more matters to her.
After an hour or so, the car came to a halt in front of a staircase. Gerald alighted from the car before picking the handbag from the seat and stood straight on the side as he waited for Sonia to alight from the car.
Moments later, Sonia was straightening her dress as she looked at the familiar building. She had visited six times for her own matters and then several more of others. That was the Civil Affairs Bureau building. A place which loved her dearly, and she seemed to be unable to get away from it.
'Let this be the last time I come here!' she prayed piously as she closed her eyes briefly before taking her first step towards an unknown future.
Who knows how it would end this time?
She could only pray and hope.
With Gerald in tow, Sonia took the stairs with confidence despite wearing heels and her appearance was quite eye-catchy.
Shutter. Shutter.
Meanwhile, the sounds of cameras snapping photos could be heard from a distance, but that didn't faze her at all.
It wasn't the first time that she was photographed or ended up on the trending list. She was someone who graces that spot once in a while, though she always has it taken down.
She was curious about what they would write about her again.
Nevertheless, she didn't bother with anyone but made her way into the building, where she found a familiar face already waiting for her.
"Ms. Sawyers, welcome!" the female manager warmly welcomed with a smile on her face, looking very friendly. It made Sonia feel at ease.
"It's a pleasure to meet you again, Diana. I hope that you haven't been tired of me yet?" Sonia said teasingly as she shook hands with the manager.
Diana chuckled heartily when she heard that, her eyes squinted into crescents.
"How can that be? I am glad to be the one serving you!" sincerity oozing from her eyes.
Sonia chuckled lightly when she heard that. "Then I leave everything in your hands again!"
Diana nodded with a smile and respectfully gestured, "Then please, come this way. They are waiting!" before walking away.
Sonia hummed in response and began following Diana to the office while ignoring the scorching gazes directed at her from the staff as well as the patrons either getting married or divorced.
As she left the main hall, a few bold people couldn't help but whisper.
"That's CEO Sawyers, right?"
"That's her, but why is she here again?"
"She can't be here to get married again. Could she?"
"Damn, then will this mean that it will be her fourth marriage?"
"Do you want to bet?"
"Bet on what?"
"How long it will take before they are back here?"
"Sure. I can't miss such a chance to get money."
"We might need to revisit the betting site. Those bold people might put the betting public again!"
"Hehe, then I guess saving some money is in order."
"I am just curious what kind of husband she found this time?"
"You are not alone!"
"But what I know is that she has a good eye. I wish I was as blessed as her!"
"Tche, stop being pretentious!"
They were quite enthusiastic while gossiping and those lingering in the building trying to find some juicy news to write were beaming with smiles as they started trying furiously on their phones.
It was deemed to be another crazy Monday. The netizens were going to be shocked once again, especially when a rising hot search appeared online.
