The resting deadline for Chicago and Phuture differed in time length, with Chicago being released in three days while she stayed an extra two days.
Her husband remained persistent with assisting her to building her spiritual energy, assuring that it was only for her best interest.
Chicago, Willie Lou, and Dark were all at full capacity of their spiritual prowess and growing stronger.
Just a week ago Phuture was the most powerful of their group, but her spiritual energy was slowly progressing after days in the healing orb. She was nearing zero percent of her spiritual essence after battle against The Confederate Demon, so her husband was sure to shut her down before anything gotten worse.
She was at about ten percent of her spiritual strength prowess after the shut down, but she seeked to become stronger much quicker for the sake of her child.
One of her seeds was risking their life against the most powerful being in history.
Chicago and Willie Lou continued their progression in spiritual energy, both of them excelling to become the strongest version of themselves. They were significantly stronger since the first day, proving their willpower to improve was no lie.
The word about the special grade demon being killed by The Demon Corps spreaded quickly amongst American soldiers.
Many soldiers called for missions during their rest time, allowing Terrance and Willie Lou more practice until the others were ready.
Chicago handled a mission with them after his three days of rest, but Phuture wasn't allowed on missions yet after five days inside the healing orb.
Celie's body didn't heal quickly as Phuture used to heal, putting her in a position where she needed to be careful with her vessel.
Dark warned her after learning the same from Terrance's vessel, although Celie and Terrance were both exceptionally athletic and strong.
Dark was the fastest spiritual being in history, but his speed lacked inside the body of Terrance.
Terrance's body was breaking apart from elusive movements against The Confederate Demon, and Dark was accustomed to moving at top speeds during fights.
Celie on the other hand was much faster than her older brother, but she still couldn't move fast as Phuture was normally able of moving.
The Divine Gods assumed they'd have to condition the bodies of their vessels, or find a quicker solution home to their true vessel.
The Demon Corps traveled away from South Carolina together for a mission in Virginia, where multiple reports called in regarding Union Soldiers ending up missing at night.
Willie Lou informed her team that this wasn't a case of demons, but another type of supernatural monster that only attacked at nights.
In Phuture's first mission back in business off the injured list, they'd use teleportation to arrive on a battlefield in Virginia.
The scenery of destruction left ashes, blood, and the stain of warfare. The group walked through the devastation together after nightfall, investigating an area where Union soldiers stated things were supernatural.
According to Itaska, there was a sudden appearance of more supernatural activity than usual.
Valeur made it more than obvious he was the man in charge of the coincidental appearance of more demons and supernatural beings. They'd just to need to figure out the purpose behind it for a comfortable solution on how to stop it.
After nearly an hour of searching through the town, Willie Lou called out to her team. "Ok guys! I'm not sensing a damn thing wrong with this town...any suggestions?"
"Maybe they're hiding because they can feel my spiritual pressure." Terrance said. "Let's see if that's the case..."
Terrance placed his thumb on Willie Lou's chest and burned her skin with a red mark, the pain only last for a split second until it felt normal like nothing ever happened.
"Jorize Mark." Terrance said, a technique that Dark learned from his mother. "It's passed down from my mother...I'll be able to appear at your location no matter what. Just try not to be pulled into anyone's domain."
"Got it." Willie Lou nodded. "Chicago, you leave out with Terrance so Phuture and I stay behind. Phuture's essence is low right now so it shouldn't matter if she stays behind."
Terrance wrapped his arms around Phuture and pulled her into his chest with gentle affection. "Stay alive."
Terrance and Chicago both teleported to another location as planned, leaving Willie Lou and Phuture behind to finish their investigation. The two of them continued roaming through the town together with their guards on high alert.
Phuture's spirit was currently weakened, but she knew she could just summon her husband's soul when needed. Backup was on immediate standby and fully prepared for the enemy to strike at any moment.
"Hey." Willie Lou said. "You feeling alright?"
Phuture's soul recovered exponentially from her five days in Terrance's healing orb, so she felt much better from when her spiritual strength was below five percent.
In all honesty I feel ten times stronger than when I was near death...using my Divine Life Energy really shatters my soul more than I realize. Not only that...but the spiritual damage seems to worsen everytime I use it.
Phuture rubbed the back of her head with a sly smile. "I'm alright, that Confederate Demon was just a handful."
"I'm sure...thank you so much for-" Willie Lou stopped speaking once she detected a faint energy. "Hey somebody's dying...ya feel that?"
Phuture's senses were more dull than usual but she detected the exact location of the essence fading away.
"We got something..." Phuture summoned her husband, who brought Chicago along by keeping a hand on his shoulder until the time came. "Somebody's injured...I think whoever hurt them ran away when we arrived."
Phuture brought the team along to the injured essence, using teleportation to arrive at the location of a young man.
The young man wearing a navy blue soldier uniform had dark brown skin and laid in a pool of his own blood.
Phuture urgently came to the young man's aid, but Terrance would cut her off before she used any of her energy. Still remaining persistent on keeping her energy usage minimum as possible.
Terrance used his healing prowess again although it wasn't elite as his wife's technique, placing his energy within the wounds to gradually heal them.
Terrance noticed a mark on the man's neck, a mark that resembled a bite mark. That could only mean one thing about the Union soldier's attacker.
Terrance sighed, he placed the young man inside a healing orb.
He rubbed his forehead and spoke, "Vamps."
