Chapter 26 - Tubman

The Hoodied Demon laughed out. "You think generational failure can defeat me? I'll end you and the generations after you!"

Hayze erupted with an overwhelming amount of spiritual energy, unleashing a massive sized energy blast that shattered the demon's True Domain.

The group arrived back southwest of Richmond, The Hoodied Demon coughed up blood and retreated on the brink of death. He clambered away with urgency, using teleportation to escape after healing himself for a few seconds once he detected an essence even more powerful than Hayze had arrived.

Terrance placed the injured Itaska member inside a healing orb, he asked. "Are you alright, Hayze?"

"I'm fine...he got away...we have to..." Hayze stumbled over while speaking, but he was still worried about killing The Hoodied Demon. "The Hoodied Demon...he didn't even use his full power so we got lucky..."

"You've done great, I'm sorry I didn't reach you in time. All three of you are true American soldiers, thank you for your assistance in Richmond. I think we're gonna relax for the remaining of the day...The Union soldiers are on their way to assist us. I'm sure they're gonna need our help on the way. Can The Itaska assist?"

"Of course."

Hayze fell over and fainted into the arms of Terrance, leaving Gantaka as the last of their trio still standing.

Dark and Gantaka had history against each other before he was transmigrated, so he was already aware of the vampire secret. It was the only reason that he was the last man standing, since Keanu and Hayze were both just strong human beings.

Terrance transported them to another location, where the rest of their team was currently stationed with The Union Army in South Carolina for the day.

Phuture and Terrance heavily assisted with the invasion of Port Royal, just south of Charleston near a town named Beaufort. The month of November had been so productive that The Union pushed for victory, ultimately leading to battles happening sooner than historically.

Harriet Tubman was a spy for The Union, assisting by giving up information on Confederates just as The Ward family was doing. She pushed for the freedom of hundreds of enslaved people, assisting with the redemption of South Carolina exponentially.

Harriet and a Colonel were discussing a plan where she leads the raid of Combahee Ferry, a raid that was historically supposed to take place in summer of 1963. Much sooner than that she would become the first woman ever to lead The American Army in a raid.

The Union commanders were planning to push harder on South Carolina before finishing Virginia, planning to raid the coastal rivers Combahee, Ashepoo, and Edisto.

Phuture recognized many faces of men and women recently freed with Willie Lou and Chicago after the invasion of Port Royal, all of them were reporting under Harriet Tubman to further their education and knowledge about the war.

Harriet really is running this shit...I'm sure that's everything Celie Ward wanted to be. When we arrived, Willie Lou ran up to hug her like family! Also...Celie educated the slaves, fought with the slaves, and died with slaves. Her honor for her people should be recognized...

"Hey." Terrance's voice called out to her, bringing her back from the world of thoughts. "Are you alright?"

"I still feel pretty weak...but I'm here so I can't complain." Phuture answered with her eyes on Harriet conversing with the slaves. "I would've never guessed Harriet Tubman has such a magnificent spiritual essence."

"Of course...she's one of the strongest spiritual beings in history...especially in her time. You really can't tell who that is, huh?"

"Now that you mention it..her spiritual essence is so familiar..." Phuture thought hard but couldn't put her head around the resemblance of energy. "You gonna tell me?"

"Nah...you're likely gonna see for yourself soon. Don't wanna kill the suspense." Terrance joked, his smile faded away as he thought about something. "Hayze fought against The Confederate Demon's brother or something, the spiritual presence was damn near identical. But there's more...Hayze prayed to his relatives for energy...and the prayer came to me."

Phuture's eyes widened in shock, "Huh, Mr. Itaska is your relative?"

"I don't know how...I'm sure it's an ancient Native technique that allows you to call out to your bloodline. I'm just unsure how our blood connects...but I think I'm starting to put some pieces together. I'll let you know once I'm fully aware of what's going on. I notice your spiritual essence is around fifteen percent...you're growing stronger even though you don't feel it."

Harriet Tubman finished discussions and lessons with the free slaves, coming towards Phuture and Terrance with Willie Lou at her right side.

Holy Divine! I'm gonna have an one on one conversation with thee Harriet Tubman! This is exhilarating!

"I haven't seen the two of you in almost ten years." Harriet approached to greet them with a smile, hugging them both gently. "You're…both so much different from what I remembered. Willie Lou and Chicago were just lil babies, but the two of you were big kids! But…either of you care to explain the divinity surging from your souls? I don't recall the Ward family being Divine Gods."

She really saw right through us that easily! Is she an expert with spiritual prowess, or did Willie Lou tell her who we were?

"So my best guess…Terrance and Celie's souls have gone to meet their father." Harriet frowned. "Right?"

Phuture turned to Terrance for the answer, but he remained mute while knowing how bad she wanted to speak with Harriet Tubman.

"I am Divine Goddess Phuture, and I was recenrly transmigrated into Celie earlier this month." Phuture properly introduced herself to Harriet, she grabbed Terrance by the arm and continued. "This is my husband, Divine Lord Dark, and we we're transmigrated into this world and time by an all powerful demon named Valeur. I'm sorry if that's a lot to soak in…"

"Nah baby, ya good. I've heard of that demon Valeur…and I'm sorry you've been through so much. So I'm assuming…the two of you are the reason things have been heavily in our favor."

"We've been trying our best…we couldn't finish invading Richmond today, we know that will be a major turning point in the war!"

"Don't worry, after we free these slaves out here by the river we can march to the Confederate capital. I got about one thousand slaves to free after I invade Beaufort, then we can finish off Yhe Confederacy together." Hariet offered to shake both their hands and seemed extremely pleased to meet the duo. "The circumstances are mysterious and unknown, but I know your contributions have been amazing since you arrived."

Phuture smiled heavily, her fandom truly exposes while she looked Hariet in the eyes. She wanted to hug one of her idols, but she was appalled by the gratification being expressed towards them.

"You're the reasons for helping us achieve so much." Harriet acknowledged The Divine Gods, she wore a sincere smile of approval to her younger pupils. "Thank you."
