The steam lingered in the bathroom, and it was so quiet that you could hear the soft drip, drip, drip of the faucet.

Has our bathtub always been this small?

The thought came to Leo unbidden. After his aunt had settled in behind him, a long, delicate, pale leg stretched out from his side, looking like a masterfully carved piece of ivory in the warm, steamy water. Her sexy, dark hair cascaded over his shoulders like a waterfall, pooling on the surface.

Diana's heroic eyebrows softened slightly. With both of them in the tub, it was a bit crowded. Her other leg was bent, resting against her chest. Even so, Leo could feel his back occasionally brushing against her knee.

He could clearly smell the beautiful scent of violets. It wasn't from any of the shampoos or soaps in the room; it was a scent that was uniquely hers.

"Do you remember," her peaceful voice came from behind him, "the last time we took a bath together?"

"I was ten," Leo muttered, feeling as if he were being treated like a child again. "Don't always treat me like a child. I'm sixteen. According to the law, I'm already old enough to get married."

"Yes, sixteen years. Time flies," Diana whispered.

Leo was silent, trying to empty his mind. He had been the one to insist on bathing alone after he turned ten. It had been an act of self-restraint, a fear of what might happen if he continued to be faced with such perfection. To him, that would have been the greatest blasphemy.

He never expected her to take the initiative. "It's been a long time," she said. "Let me wash your hair for you."

"Yeah," Leo, his mind still adrift, replied subconsciously, before the meaning of her words hit him. "Yeah?!"

"Close your eyes," Diana urged.

He opened his mouth to protest, but instead, he closed his eyes. He heard the soft pump of a shampoo bottle, and then a pair of hands, warm and smooth as jade, were on his head, gently lathering his hair with warm water. As the foam spread, a tingling sensation, like a pleasant electric shock, washed over him. He found himself enjoying the luxurious treatment.

"When I was a child," Diana whispered, her eyes filled with an unprecedented tenderness as she washed his hair, "whenever I got muddy, my mentor and my aunt would often wash my hair like this."

"Your aunt's mentor?" This was the first time Leo had ever heard her talk about her childhood. He opened his eyes in curiosity, but a bit of foam dripped into them, making him wince.

"I told you to close your eyes," Diana chided, but she immediately leaned forward and scooped up some water to wash his eyes. For a brief moment, Leo saw a pair of snow-white hills, more stunningly beautiful than the Alps, and he quickly squeezed his eyes shut again.

"Yes, my mentor," Diana continued. "She, and my mother the Queen, all live in a place called Paradise Island. There's an enchantment there, left by Zeus, the King of the Gods, that has kept it isolated from the rest of the world for thousands of years. We, the Amazons, live on Paradise Island."

She spoke calmly, as if she were talking about the most ordinary thing in the world, while she gently washed his hair. Leo was stunned. He was learning the shocking secrets of the ancient Greek gods in a bathroom.

"I was the princess of the Amazons," Diana went on. "I was cared for by my mother and my mentor my whole life. Until one day, a fighter plane crashed into the waters near our island. I left Paradise Island and came to the outside world—your world. At that time, mankind was in the midst of the First World War."

"Later, I discovered that Ares, the God of War, was behind the conflict. So, I joined the war to stop him."

She told him everything. Her history, her background, how she had fought in World War I under the name "Wonder Woman," and why she had chosen to stay in the world of men. She spoke of her initial fascination with humanity, and her eventual disappointment. She told him how, as a demigod, she had hidden herself away, living as an ordinary person for nearly a century.

She told him everything, her tone natural, as if she were simply explaining some common knowledge to a child. The myths and legends that were untouchable to the rest of humanity had become, for them, a simple fireside chat.

Wonder Woman? Princess of the Amazons? Daughter of Zeus?

Leo was dumbfounded. He never imagined his aunt's background was so profound. If Zeus were still alive, he thought, and saw this, would he strike me down with a bolt of lightning?

"I'm sure you've figured it out by now," Diana said, her eyes a little complicated. "The woman in the old photograph from this morning, the one from World War I… that was me. I wanted to wait until you were eighteen to tell you everything. I never meant to deceive you."

"I know, Auntie," Leo sighed. "You were protecting me. For sixteen years, you've kept me safe from all the extraordinary things in the world."

"You're not angry? Or afraid?" Diana asked, her hands still gently massaging his hair.

"Why would I be angry? And what's there to be afraid of?" Leo shook his head and smiled. "Even if you had told me you were a demon who was planning to eat me, I would have willingly accepted it. And you're telling me you're a descendant of the gods? I've been living with a beautiful goddess and superhero all my life, and I'm even getting a private bath treatment. What's there to be angry about?" He was getting a little carried away, splashing water everywhere.

"What goddess? What superhero? Calm down," Diana said, rapping him lightly on the head. "Just call me Auntie."

"Yes, yes, Auntie," Leo said, rubbing his head. They both smiled, a knowing, comfortable smile. The tension and distance between them had completely melted away, replaced by a sense of harmony and understanding.

"By the way," Diana said, her slender fingers suddenly pinching his ear, "about you running around fighting monsters in my clothes… you'd better tell me everything."

"Okay, okay, I'll talk!" Leo raised his hands in surrender. "A week ago, I accidentally awakened some kind of superpower. I call it… 'Parasite'."

He held nothing back, telling her everything he knew about his ability.

"So, if you have intimate contact with a female and exchange… fluids… you can copy her abilities?" Diana frowned, a flicker of understanding in her eyes. "So that's what happened. At dinner, you triggered the ability."

"Yes," Leo said with a wry smile. "I never would have guessed that just sharing a water glass would be enough."

"The key must be the exchange of fluids," Diana said, her eyes flashing with wisdom. She looked even more surprised. "This ability is like a law of cause and effect. To be able to copy even the bloodline of the gods…" She thought of the wishing stones she had encountered in the past. Only sacred objects left by the gods had such extraordinary effects. But Leo's ability had a time limit, and it didn't seem to have any negative side effects.

"I told you I would give you the choice of what path to take in the future," she muttered to herself. "I didn't expect you to actually have the power to make that choice."

"Auntie, what are you talking about? What choice?" Leo asked, confused.

"Nothing. I'm just thinking about your superpower," she said, then raised another point. "Exchanging saliva diluted in water gave you all of my abilities for four hours. But right now, we're in the same bathwater, and your ability hasn't been triggered."

"That's true," Leo nodded. "Is there a problem?"

"I'm just wondering," Diana said, her expression thoughtful. "What would happen if… and I mean if… the fluid exchange wasn't diluted? What if it was direct? And what if the amount of fluid was… increased? What effect would that have on your ability?"

Leo had a feeling his aunt's line of thought was a very dangerous one. But he hadn't considered it himself. Could it be? Could the duration or intensity of his ability really change depending on the… volume of the exchange?
