Chapter 10 - Boil Release: Super Strength Unrivaled

Kyle was lost in the excitement of mastering Yasuo's Happy Charm, and the class time slipped away unnoticed.

The three of them quickly packed up their textbooks and wands and dashed out to the corridor outside the classroom.

"Kyle, are you going to come with us to Transfiguration class?" Marietta asked.

She noticed that the other textbook Kyle held was Transfiguration.

"Yes, and I'll need you to lead me to the Transfiguration classroom; I don't know the way."

The Transfiguration classroom was on the second floor of the castle. Even with two veterans of the castle, who had been here for over five months, guiding him, it still took nearly twenty minutes to go from the fourth floor to the second floor.

Kyle suspected he was riding in a taxi that took the long way around.

He was wondering if Cho Chang and Marietta would need to go to jail if he jumped down the stairs.

When the three of them arrived at the Transfiguration classroom, Professor Minerva McGonagall was already waiting.

Professor McGonagall wore square glasses and had her black hair twisted into a tight bun. She was dressed in a dark green robe.

Upon seeing Professor McGonagall's extremely serious expression, Kyle instantly thought of the head teacher from his high school in his previous life.

It wasn't just similar; it was exactly the same.

When the bell rang, Professor McGonagall began, "Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous subject of all courses at Hogwarts."

"Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be expelled and never allowed back."

As she said this, she specifically glanced at Kyle, who was sitting in the front row.

Kyle was certain that Professor McGonagall's words were directed at him, likely because Professor Flitwick had already spoken to her.

Facing Professor McGonagall's stern gaze that pierced through her square glasses, Kyle, who only knew AC numbers, wasn't at all flustered. Instead, he met her eyes with a fiery intensity.

A slight curve appeared at Professor McGonagall's lips; she hadn't seen a student so audacious in many years.

So, she drew her wand and lightly tapped the podium beside her.

The podium instantly transformed into a majestic Mighty Lion, which roared at Kyle with a deafening sound before lunging forward.

Startled, Kyle instinctively kicked off the ground. The heavy wooden desk in front of him exploded with incredible speed under this immense force, carrying a tremendous amount of kinetic energy as it slammed heavily into the posturing lion.

"Water Style: Great Shark Bullet Technique!"

A large mass of water gushed out of Kyle's mouth, transforming into a ferocious-looking shark in the air.

The water shark caught up to the lion, which had been knocked back by the desk, and opened its blood-red mouth filled with sharp teeth, biting off the lion's head in one gulp.

Boom!

Boom!

The headless body of the Mighty Lion and a heavy desk slammed against the wall one after the other, producing two dull thuds.

The desk shattered into pieces, while the Mighty Lion slowly reverted to the form of the original lectern.

Er… why is this lectern missing a corner?

Crack, crack…

Countless spiderweb-like cracks rapidly crawled across the antique lectern, which looked quite old. Then, it shattered into a pile of fragments, lying silently on the ground, as if accusing someone's brutality.

Minerva McGonagall: "…"

The entire class: "…"

Kyle: "…"

Professor! This isn't my fault! You started it!

Professor McGonagall's face was ashen, drenched by the exploding Great Shark Bullet Technique.

Kyle looked at the furious Professor McGonagall with trepidation. Was he going to be kicked out of the classroom?

He might be the first person in Hogwarts' history to be kicked out of a classroom before even starting school.

Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

She tried to tell herself that it wasn't Kyle's fault; after all, she was the one who had wanted to show off her advanced Transfiguration skills in front of him.

But when her gaze swept over the wreckage in the corner and the large puddle of water again, Professor McGonagall's face began to twitch, and she immediately lost her composure again.

Grindelwald's son... what kind of little monster was he?

The strength Kyle had displayed when he kicked that desk away was probably comparable to a troll's, right? And that magic she had never seen before...

Kyle looked up at Professor McGonagall, listening quietly as she explained the various theoretical knowledge of Transfiguration.

As a complete beginner in Transfiguration, Kyle listened with great interest to what Professor McGonagall was teaching.

He knew that Professor McGonagall was giving him a private lesson.

"Pay attention, it is very important to wave your wand firmly and decisively when performing Transfiguration." As Professor McGonagall waved her wand, the match in front of Kyle instantly turned into a shimmering silver needle.

The silver needle returned to its original form, "Try practicing," Professor McGonagall said to Kyle.

Hearing Professor McGonagall's words, Kyle took out his wand with interest.

Performing Transfiguration should be similar to casting the Severing Charm, both of which require transmitting your intention to the wand.

In that case, if the brain can provide a clear enough picture of the transformed result for the object to be Transfigured, the Transfiguration will be largely successful.

Focusing intently on the image of the needle Professor McGonagall had conjured, Kyle gently tapped his wand on the match.

In the next instant, the match transformed into a silver needle.

Silent casting?

Professor McGonagall's pupils contracted. She suddenly remembered that when she demonstrated the match-to-needle transformation for Kyle, she'd neglected to tell him to speak the Transfiguration spell.

She herself also cast silently, but that was due to her profound mastery of Transfiguration.

With Professor McGonagall's level of expertise, she could cast silently, or even without a wand, for anything that wasn't an overly complex transformation.

But she hadn't anticipated that Kyle would achieve it as well.

And succeed on his first attempt.

She had to admit, he really was the son of a Dark Lord.

Although Grindelwald's forte wasn't Transfiguration but rather Dark Arts, his skill in Transfiguration was still quite impressive. After all, he and Dumbledore, the current master of Transfiguration, had a certain relationship.

If this young Grindelwald inherited his father's magical talent, succeeding on the first try wouldn't be surprising.

Ugh, it was still infuriating though.

Back when she was learning Transfiguration, although she managed to turn a match into a silver needle in a single day, it was only after she spent the better part of the day constantly practicing.

And Kyle…

Professor McGonagall grew increasingly envious the more she thought about it.
