Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reborn

--Ashina Reservoir, Midnight--

"CLASH!"

Genichiro and Wolf clashed swords with each other, only for Wolf to redirect Genichiro's strike to the other direction and opening a opportunity for Wolf to stab him in the chest.

"Urrgh!" Genichiro groaned in pain as he was stabbed in the chest.

Wolf then pushed him away, making Genichiro stumbling on the ground as he held his chest.

Wolf then readies a battle stance in case Genichiro is gonna get up again.

Genichiro then weakly got up from his feet with the black mortal blade on his hand. He then looked up at the night sky.

"In the end. I was powerless, but grandfather was not." Genichiro said weakly.

He looked at the black mortal blade. "The Dragon Blood surging through her veins."

He then brought the blade to his neck. "With this, Ashina's long night comes to an end."

With one final moment, Genichiro pulled down the blade on his throat with blood spewing out.

Wolf's face was shook as he witness the horrible action.

Red aura streaks then started to come out of Genichiro's wound on his throat as he stands there dead. His lifeless body started to twitch and an arm came out of the wound.

The arm then takes the black mortal blade from Genichiro's hands.

"Pitiful grandchild. This was your last wish." Isshin Ashina's voice spoke as he comes out of Genichiro's body.

Now out of his grandson's body, Isshin then stands tall as Genichiro's body falls to the ground.

"To see Ashina returned from the great beyond..." Isshin said as now turns to Wolf's direction.

"which means, Sekiro... I must destroy you." Isshin said to Wolf as he flicks the mortal blade, ready to fight.

--Unknown Location--

Genichiro felt empty, darkness around him as if he was floating in a empty space. His eyes opened slowly only to find himself in a void full of smoke.

He looked around. "Where am I?"

He looked down to see his body fully healed with no wounds. Who could've done such a thing?

The only thing he remembers was killing himself with the black mortal blade to ressurect his grandfather in his prime.

His face turned into defeat as he sat down. "I was a fool... There's no saving Ashina."

He hated himself due to his stubbornness and slammed his fist into the ground.

"Why am I such an fool!" Genichiro said as he punched the ground.

As he sat there sulking in agony, a voice then interrupts him.

"Genichiro Ashina..."

He got up as he heard the voice and said. "Who's there? Answer me!"

"Your story is not yet done." Continued the voice.

"Are you listening to me?!" Genichiro said angrily as he was getting annoyed of being ignored.

The Voice continued to ignore him. "As now you are needed to be this world's savior."

Genichiro got confused. "What are you talking about?"

As Genichiro questioned, a bright light then emerges below him. He looked down immediately trying to get out of it, but it was no use.

"What is this...? What are you doing to me?!" Genichiro asked the voice while struggling.

The light gets brighter and brighter as the voice continued to speak to Genichiro.

"You will now be reborn, like a thunder rumbling in the sky." The Voice spoke one last time before the light engulfed Genichiro whole.

Genichiro struggled to move his body as he gritted his teeth. The light now finally engulfs him whole, and the only thing he last saw is whiteness turning into darkness once again.

--Westeros Outskirts, Night--

Two people were sailing across a lake, trying to find fish for dinner.

"Father, it's pointless! We'll never find fish around here." The girl said who seemed to be the daughter of the man sailing the boat.

"Oh hush up, will you Lisa? Would you like to starve for the night?" The man said to his daughter.

"Father, let's just do this tomorrow. We still have plenty of food back at the house." Lisa reasoned with her father.

The father sighs. "You're just like your mother. Alright, let's go back."

Before the father and daughter could steer back to where they came from, Lisa then spots a unconscious Genichiro on a nearby land.

Lisa pointed at that direction. "Father! Over there!"

Her father then looked at the direction she was pointing and saw Genichiro lying unconscious face flat. A big sack bag was beside him, resembling a sword.

"Is that...?"

--Westeros Outskirts, Morning--

Genichiro felt pain in his head, like he hit it with something hard. He opened his eyes slowly with his vision still blurry.

He could barely image of what he's seeing except for the candle light which is a little bit visible to his eyes.

As the blurriness have gone, he then now sees his current surroundings of where he was.

"What is this place?" Genichiro asked as he looked around before he got up weakly from the bed he was lying.

The room he was in was dark, but he could see clearly. The chirping of the birds outside can be heard by him as he figures that it's clearly morning.

Genichiro stood up from his feet, trying to explore the room he was in.

He continued to walk around the room until something caught his eye. It was a sack bag made out of cloth and it resembles like a sword.

"What the..."

Genichiro walked towards it with complete curiosity and kneeled in front of it. He then reached out his hand to open the sack to see what's inside.

He slowly grabbed the cloth of the bag and pulled it slowly. As he opened the sack bag slightly, he then recognizes the hilt of it.

"My sword..." Genichiro said in complete shock.

He then notices that there's two sword is inside the sack bag. His curiosity peaked again and continued pulling the bag open, and what's in it left him completely frozen and shook.

His eyes were widened as he saw the sword that wasn't supposed to be here.

"No... how is this possible?" He uttered in complete disbelief.

It was revealed to be the black mortal blade. The one he used against the Shinobi Wolf, the one he used to ressurect his grandfather.

The dark energy of the odachi oozed off of it as Genichiro stared at it.

He was then interrupted by the noise of the door opening. He quickly turned his head to the direction of the door to see a man standing there in silence.

"Oh, you're awake! That's good." The man said.

Genichiro stared at the man with suspicion. "Who are you?"

The man scratched his head. "I'm Gibor Flankden, I took you in after me and my daughter found you unconscious nearby with that sack behind you."

Gibor pointed at the sack bag to confirm his reason.

Genichiro observed the man once more, and figured that the man wasn't Japanese and he was the foreigner between them.

"What's your name, friend?" Gibor asked Genichiro.

Genichiro didn't felt sure if he was gonna say his name to this stranger in front of him, but it would be rude not to.

"Genichiro, Genichiro Ashina. That's my name." Genichiro said to Gibor.

"Ge-ni-chi-ro." Gibor struggled to pronounce the name but eventually figured it out.

"May I ask you a question?" Genichiro asked.

"Aye, you can ask." Gibor said back.

Genichiro paused for a moment before continuing to ask.

"Where am I right now?" Genichiro questioned.

"Were you living under a rock or something? Well, you are currently in Westeros specifically outside the Vale of Arryn." Gibor answered him.

Genichiro's face became still and dumbfounded which he then thought. 'Westeros? What the hell is Westeros?'
