Chapter 1 - The Regression

"Why?"

Standing in a Void beyond existence were two beings that transcended it.

They towered above ten feet, titans of impossible divinity.

The first was an embodiment of a cosmic diamond-purplish abyssal void, the second, a cosmic golden-purplish abyssal void.

Their locks flowed more regally than a lion's mane, and their auras distorted the nothingness around them.

The air, if it could be called that vibrated with pressure.

A deep, despair-laced calm filled the void, as one voice cut through eternity.

Cosmic purplish-diamond eyes, furious and cold, met casual golden arrogance laced with mockery.

The True Void Progenitor, Key.

Facing him..his opposite.

His mirror.

His nightmare.

The one he dubbed long ago—

Future Key.

They had met before. Back when he was weaker, still discovering what it meant to be the Abyss. Still learning who he was..and what he was destined to become.

"Why?" Future Key repeated with a dark chuckle, his tone slicing through the silence.

"It's always the question, isn't it? But how unspecific of you. Why what, exactly?"

Before Key could speak, Future Key continued—savoring his own words.

"Why did I create a fake timeline for you before your 'reincarnation' into Drakara?"

"Why did I erase trillions of timelines just to watch you?"

"Why did I kill those little bitches of yours for fun—"

His smirk widened into a jagged grin.

"—or better yet…" he leaned forward, voice twisting with venom,

"Why did I kill her over countless timelines just to absorb her Eternity Essence?"

His tone dropped to a whisper.

"Hmm..Speedy, was it?"

BURST.

A pressure beyond reason detonated.

Primordial cosmic diamond-purple Abyssal Energy surged outward like a dying star going supernova, threatening to unravel existence itself. The void trembled.

"Watchyourwords."

Key's tone was calm. Cold. Absolute.

"Hmph. But if you really want to know," Future Key said, raising his hand. "I'll show you."

He snapped his fingers.

Reality morphed.

The nothingness twisted into the Abyss incarnate—the pulsing, infinite dark from which all chaos was born.

"As you know, this is what we truly are..The Abyss.

The void.

The darkness that devours all light."

He turned, voice softening into mock philosophy.

"But I always wondered..was there anything greater than the Abyss?"

The scene shimmered again.

A holographic image appeared—Speedy, smiling sweetly, innocently..eternally.

It made Key's heart ache. Break. Burn.

"Eternity," Future Key said with a smirk, "whose false name is Speedy..is stronger than the Void.

Eternity existed before the Void and therefore stands above it."

The illusion faded. The void returned.

"You killed her..in countless timelines..for power?" Key asked, his voice flat. Controlled. But his tone was sharp as a blade.

Future Key tapped his chin casually. "That about sums it up. Though this time, I didn't have to kill her. She sacrificed herself and handed you her power.

Turns out this version of Speedy was the True Eternity, not one of her fragments."

"And now what?" Key asked, eyes narrowing.

"What do you expect to do?"

Future Key's grin widened into divine madness.

"To fuse the True Eternity with the fragments I've already absorbed, and become the most Omni-powerful being in existence!"

Key's pupils shifted.

Black markings spread beneath his eyes like living shadows.

Within his gaze were stars, systems, and dying worlds spun endlessly.

The Eyes of Oblivion.

He had obtained them from that treacherous Tower of Oblivion long ago.

"You think I'll just let you take it?" he asked, voice low and steady.

"You don't have a choi—"

"Serenity, activate Supreme Undead Void Tsunami."

The words fell from his lips like a divine decree.

[Of course Master Key!]

For a single impossible heartbeat..silence.

Then the universe convulsed.

The black-diamond surface beneath Key's feet shattered outward like a mirror struck by godfire. From each fragment poured rivers of cosmic diamond-violet energy, spiraling upward, boiling the fabric of the void itself.

A low rumble became a roar.

Then the Tsunami rose—a cosmic wall of liquid nothingness, stretching beyond sight, higher than worlds, deeper than time.

Inside it, forms took shape. It was an ecosystem of colossal abyssal beasts, each unique, each monstrous, wrapped in translucent nebula flesh.

Every single one had a heart of crystalized Eternity, pulsing with violet and blue light.

One… ten… a thousand… a billion…

The count defied comprehension.

Until the entire horizon was consumed by one hundred billion Eternity Abyssal Beasts.

Their collective breath warped gravity.

Their roars shattered constellations.

Key's aura expanded until even Future Key's golden radiance began to twist beneath its weight.

He raised his hand..palm open.

The entire legion froze mid-motion, awaiting command.

His voice, soft and calm, rolled across creation:

"ConsumetheFalseGod."

[Master!]

The voice snapped him back.

A groan echoed through a dim room as purple eyes with golden pupils snapped open.

With supernatural precision, he scanned the chamber in less than a second—every crack, every scent, every detail.

His breath hitched.

"This looks like—"

[That's because it is, Master Key. Your regression to the past was successful.]

He drew a slow, trembling breath.

Then another.

And another.

He was back.

Back to the beginning.

To the Abyss.

To Nythra's hideout.

The same place he once believed was his reincarnation point, before learning his so-called life on Earth had been a fabricated lie.

Everyone was alive again.

Everyone.

Flashes flooded his mind. Their deaths, their screams, his rage, his loss.

Then the image of his Future Self appeared.

And the fury in his eyes burned anew.

"Serenity..what's the status of my power?" he asked, coldly, his tone steadier now.

[Your power is 85% sealed, Master Key. This current vessel cannot handle the full extent of the Void and Eternity.]

He nodded once. "That's fine. It's all I need for now.

I can progress faster this time..now that I remember who I am."

His gaze snapped toward the door, footsteps approaching.
