Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Journey to Fairy Tail

Fiore Kingdom, Magnolia Town, Fairy Tail Guild

"May I ask your name?"

"Kevin Young."

"And your age?"

"18."

"What type of magic are you skilled in?"

"Take Over Magic."

"Take Over Magic?!" Mirajane exclaimed, surprised to find someone else adept in the same magic as hers. Although common, it was still intriguing to meet another practitioner.

"Alright, registration is complete, Kevin. Where would you like the guild mark to be imprinted?"

Kevin placed his right hand on the counter. "On the back of this hand."

"Choose a color you like."

"Red."

Mira adjusted the stamp's color and pressed it onto Kevin's hand. A red Fairy Tail Guild mark appeared on the back of his right hand.

"Welcome to Fairy Tail. You are now an official member of the guild," Mira said, her smile radiant.

"Thank you."

Gazing at the guild mark, Kevin felt a thrill of excitement. A member of Fairy Tail—he was actually part of the guild. He knew dreams were achievable if they were humble enough, but experiencing a fantasy come true was beyond belief.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host, for joining Fairy Tail. Do you wish to bind this guild?"

A panel, visible only to Kevin, appeared before him.

"Bind!"

"Ding! Binding successful! Congratulations, Host, you have received a ten-pull! Do you wish to draw?"

"Draw..."

Just as Kevin was about to initiate the draw, he had a thought and turned to Mira. "Mira, could you wish me good luck?"

Though slightly puzzled, Mira smiled warmly and said, "Mr. Kevin, I wish you good luck."

So charming, he thought, wishing he could marry her.

With her blessing, Kevin tapped the screen lightly.

"Ten-pull!"

Starlight danced across the screen like a gacha in *Genshin Impact*.

"A gold!"

Kevin's heart raced with excitement at the sight of a golden star. What an incredible stroke of luck to draw a legendary character on his first try.

Ignoring the minor characters, Kevin focused on the first card, eager to see which golden legend he had drawn.

The character's image was instantly recognizable: short, spiky black hair; pale skin; green eyes with dark green tear marks beneath them; and a white horned helmet on his left side. His slender figure wore a high-collared, long-sleeved white top over a black base, paired with a kimono-style skirt, a sword at his waist—elegant and formidable.

It was Ulquiorra Cifer, Bleach's Espada No. 4 under Aizen's Arrancar army.

Ulquiorra was a favorite of Kevin's, not just for his cool demeanor but for his immense power. Even though he was ranked fourth among the Espada, his second Resurrección, unique and potent, made him arguably the strongest.

"This is amazing!" Kevin exclaimed, thrilled beyond words at drawing such a powerful character.

Everyone in the guild turned to look at Kevin.

"Hmm? What's amazing?" Mira asked, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

Realizing he had spoken aloud, Kevin quickly covered up. "Oh, I mean, joining Fairy Tail is truly amazing!"

Mira smiled, understanding. New members often showed great joy at joining, and she appreciated those who genuinely admired the guild.

"Let me show you around the guild."

"Okay, thank you."

Mira led Kevin to the request board. "This is the request board. All the quests posted by clients are displayed here. Guild members can choose suitable requests and earn commissions upon completion. This is the main source of income for our mages."

"The basement is for storage—mainly guild supplies."

"What about the second floor?" Kevin asked, glancing upward.

"The second floor is the infirmary. Injured guild members can receive treatment there. Normally, only S-Class Mages are allowed up there."

"Why?"

"Because the quests there are S-Class or higher—dangerous, life-threatening missions. But the rewards are also substantial. Only an S-Class Mage is qualified to accept them."

"S-Class Mage, huh?"

Kevin knew well what S-Class Mages were—elite members, the pillars of any guild.

"I will definitely become an S-Class Mage," Kevin said softly, his voice firm with determination.

"I wish you early success!" Mira replied with a smile, seeing in him the same ambition she once had. More S-Class Mages would only strengthen the guild, and she hoped Kevin would achieve his goal.
