Chapter 1 - Prologue

(Talon's POV)

I used to be an adventurer, until I got a lightning bolt to the knee.

Well, the lightning bolt to the knee didn't cause my career-ending injury, it was the setup for the world of pain I was subjected to not too long after. I like to think that the lightning bolt to he knee was the start, the start of the end.

It was seven years ago, I was in my 6th year as an adventurer, having built a legendary reputation with my Party. We traversed most of the continent, exploring unknown dangers and vanquishing great evils. From Evil Necromancers to Ancient Weapons, my party and I had fought many foes and came out at top.

It wasn't until a certain incident, on an island off the coast of Drahan, that I had my final adventure. My Party and I were tracking a cult that had the keys to a prison containing an Archdemon, planning to unleash the force of darkness upon the land. Not only that, within the island lay a temple of gold and riches, which our Rogue wanted to loot and become rich.

I was broke most of my life, so the idea of a vast fortune was alluring, but at the same time, I wanted to defeat the Cultists and kill the Archdemon. So two birds with one stone; we sailed to the island and fought the forces of the Cult. Battle after battle, my Party and I pushed forward, getting to the center of the ruins and defeating the Cult Leaders, who were dangerous warriors corrupted by the allure of darkness.

It was during those battles that I took that lightning bolt to the knee, fired by an Elven Sorceress. The impact of the attack broke the ground beneath me and threw me into the lower levels of the ruins and I had to fight an army of demonic beasts that were unleashed upon me. I fought my way back to the final battle and fought till my last breath. During the battle, I suffered even more injuries that were capable of killing any normal human. But I wasn't normal, I was quite different....hehe....

After our victory, we looted all of the treasure, obtaining a vast fortune, enough to last us each a lifetime. And afterwards, we went our separate ways, making sure to stay in contact.

I stayed in Drahan and opened up a shop, still recovering from my grievous injuries. My shop was a simple repair shop. I repaired anything that was broken, using a handy magic that I learned during my time as an Adventurer. Using that and my late mother's smithing skill, I built an honest life that I supported with my skills and my fortune.

I invested some of that money in helping out my town and other places that were affected by the Cult's terror. I funded many businesses in my town and helped people's lives be better.

And along the lines, I used that coin to fuel my own pleasure.

By becoming a Sugar Daddy, to adventurers who needed coin.

It's quite something, I must admit.

*********

"Thanks, Talon." The Baker said as he walked out of my shop, "My furnace will now work better since you fixed the valve!"

I nodded as I leaned on the counter, waving him away, "No problem." I said with a smile, "Be sure to send some pastries my way, haha!"

"I will!" He laughed

As the door closed, I let out a sigh and stepped back, stretching my arms.

"Oh man...." I said, "What a day."

I turned around and grabbed some metal trinkets that a young boy had sent me to inspect. I don't recognize what they were, and I was trying to figure it out, spending most of the day on them. I didn't see that it had any runes that I recognized. One of them looked like a thin cylinder, with three golden rings on it, and a small glass gem on the top. The other one was a small metal star that had a sphere in the middle.

I knew the shapes, but I didn't know what they were supposed to be. The rings on the cylinder can turn while the star's sphere has some sort of button. I tried tinkering with them, but nothing happened.

"Hm...." I said

"Hey, Talon." I heard the door open

I turned to see a young red-headed woman wearing a white shirt and brown leather pants; she had a short sword strapped to her side. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, and a white ribbon was fashioned into a small bow on top of it. Her pretty orange eyes looked right at me as she walked over to the counter, giving me a slight smile.

"Oh, hey Talia." I said, "Wait, it's the seventh day already?"

She nodded, leaning against the counter, "Yea....." she said, "My party and I came back to town yesterday, but I didn't want to bother you."

"Ah." I said, "I see."

She tilted her head, "What?" She said, "You didn't want to see me today?"

"No, it's not that." I said with a chuckle, "It's been a long week, I totally forgot you and I had an appointment today. That's all."

"Hm...." She said with a hint of disappointment in her face, "I can come back at a later time, if you want."

"Oh, right now is fine." I said, "I was going to close the shop anyway."

I walked around the counter and went to the door, locking it. I turned to see her still leaning on the counter, her nice looking rear facing me.

She was doing it on purpose, to entice me.

"So.....?" She said, "Still want to do it?"

"Hm, still need to do it?" I asked

"Maybe." She said, "Can I ask for a bit extra this week?"

"Maybe." I said with a smile, "Go on and wait for me in the back room, I got to close the windows too."

"Alright." She said as she walked towards the back door and opened it, entering the hallway that led to the back part of the shop, "Don't keep me waiting."

That was Talia, she's an adventurer. A Human fighter who has been struggling to make a living based on adventuring. Lately, with little to no forces of evil rampaging about, Adventurers have had it hard. They don't make a good wage, some are forced to either become mercenaries or just join the Drahan armies.

But some don't want any of that and still seek the thrill of adventure, deciding to resort to having a sugar daddy. Most Sugar Daddies are rich merchants or nobles who have power in any big city. They have a harem of their own beautiful adventurers, but many of their sugar babies end up not going back to them. Some are still desperate, though, so they have no choice.

I became one out of curiosity a few years ago, already having my fortune amassed. The woman who became my first Sugar Baby was such an amazing experience; I almost fell for her. Haven't seen her in a few months, though.

Talia is one of my regular sugar babies, she comes to me almost every week. Some of mine don't come back as often as she does since they manage their coin better than her. But I like her, she's nice and has a nice body.

Her breasts are big and soft, and her ass is very nice.

I walked down the hallway after closing the windows, making my way to the backroom where I always tend to my sugar babies. I don't always take them to my home since it's a strictly professional relationship. That and sometimes, my place is a mess.

I opened the door and walked inside, seeing that Talia was already sitting on the bed and taking her boots off.

"Hm." I said, "How was your week?"

"Boring." she said while rolling her eyes, "Goblins, that's pretty much it. Didn't get enough gold as a reward to split amongst us all five. We're risking having to let one go....."

"Sucks." I said as she began to unbutton her shirt, "You don't have to go back to that, you can always work for me."

"Hm, no." She said, "I like adventuring, traveling the country, and fighting foes that require vanquishing."

I shrugged, "If you say so."

"So, what can I do to get double this time?" She asked with a slight smirk, "Hm?"

"Oh, double?" I asked, "That's quite bold."

"What are you willing to do?"
