Chapter 1 - Tang San’s Ominous Premonition, The Interrupted Chant

On the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest in the Douluo Continent, a battle of legendary scale, one that should have been remembered for millennia, was reaching its end.

The future Spirit Ice Douluo, God of Emotion, Spirit Transmission Tower Master, and Tang San's loyal follower,Heir of Destiny, Huo Yuhao, had been beaten to his knees by a mere ten-year-class Wind Baboon soul beast.

It should be known that even along the outer paths of the Star Dou Great Forest, where danger still lurks, low-level soul beasts frequently appear.

If not for the protection of fate's power, Huo Yuhao might have already become the next meal of some lucky beast, just like the countless reckless soul masters before him.

Not far away, a white ten-year soul ring rose into the air, signifying the fall of a future star among soul beasts, the Wind Baboon, a being half a step away from godhood, had died.

With this legendary soul beast's death, Huo Yuhao's so-called "legendary" journey should have begun at this very moment.

Yet this time, fate would change. For reasons unknown, after being struck down by the Wind Baboon's power, Huo Yuhao never stood up again.

At the same time, an invisible ray of spirit light descended from beyond this world, falling upon the Douluo Continent.

At Huo Yuhao's weakest moment, it entered his sea of consciousness.

His already fragile awareness completely vanished, leaving behind only his memories and obsessions, proof that he had once existed.

Meanwhile, in the God Realm, Tang San, seated calmly in the council hall while observing the lower world through the God Realm's Core, suddenly felt his heart jolt.

An ominous feeling arose within him. He checked repeatedly through the Core, but when no result came, he dismissed the thought.

"Forget it, maybe it's just an illusion. The current Tang Sect master has already made contact with the Heir of Destiny on Douluo Continent under my influence. Soon, very soon, my ten-thousand-year plan will begin."

Suppressing his excitement, Tang San allowed a faint smile to surface, though he remained cautious.

To avoid leaving traces for the God of Destruction to discover, he refrained from interfering further with Douluo Star.

Back on the ground, Huo Yuhao's appearance was pitiful. His shoulders bore deep claw marks from the Wind Baboon, and his shirt was nearly torn to shreds. He lay motionless on the ground, breathing weakly, his frail body unable to rise again after such an assault.

At this moment, his body was under the control of an unfamiliar consciousness, one that found itself unable to move freely, feeling as though this body did not belong to it. Indeed, it did not.

"Ugh, my head hurts, my eyes are spinning… Damn it, I only stayed up one night! Why does my whole body ache so much? I can barely breathe… What's going on? Am I about to drop dead?"

The young man woke up from his sleep after an all-nighter, his body wracked with sharp pain, especially in his back and chest.

The world around him was a blur of colors.

He tried to open his eyes and push himself up, but the pain forced him to give up.

Looking around, he tried to call for help, but no sound came out.

"No way… Am I really going to die here? Damn it, move, body, move!"

Had he paid closer attention, he would've realized he was no longer in his dorm room. Under the cold shade of trees, blood was slowly seeping from his wounds.

He had no time to think. Only moments ago, he had been gaming all night with his roommates, then crashed in bed.

Now he felt as though he had been mauled by some massive creature.

"Don't tell me I caught something… No, that can't be right. Even if being sick can mess with your voice, it shouldn't make you go blind too!"

After struggling for a while, he gave up. The body was too weak and injured to keep moving.

Then, in a daze, he saw a platinum-colored light sphere rapidly approaching him.

As it came closer, his headache worsened,it felt like his brain was being thrown into a washing machine.

"What the hell… hallucination?"

The light sphere stopped in front of him for a brief moment before suddenly ramming straight into him. A bone-chilling cold enveloped his entire body.

Then, all the pain disappeared. His vision turned pure white, and when it cleared, he found himself in an endless white space.

Here, within this sea of spirit, the memories and remnants of Huo Yuhao's consciousness began to merge into the newcomer's mind.

Meanwhile, outside, a creature known as the Skydream Iceworm looked at the collapsed body and muttered, "Did this kid hit his head too hard? Why can't I link my spiritual power to him?"

"Forget it, I guess I have no choice. He's the only suitable candidate around here. It's decided, kid, hang in there!"

He glanced nervously toward the deeper part of the forest. The fierce beasts there would soon realize he had escaped.

If he didn't quickly become someone's wisdom soul ring and hide, he'd be finished once they caught him again.

Reluctantly, the Skydream Iceworm pressed its head against the boy's forehead.

Ten golden rings on its body began to pulse rhythmically as it performed a series of complex actions, sealing its vast energy and spiritual power into Huo Yuhao's body.

The boy's wounds began healing rapidly; even the spilled blood returned to his veins, leaving only his torn clothes as evidence.

At the same time, the powerful psychic shock released during the process caused many creatures in the southern forest to fall briefly into a daze.

This surge of power, guided by Huo Yuhao's destiny, also drew in his fated teacher,Electrolux.

The sky darkened, thunder boomed, and the sunlight was swallowed by what appeared to be torn space.

An overwhelming pressure filled the air. Even the fiercest beasts in the forest cowered, only the Beast God Di Tian remained calm.

"Divine might? But not from the God Realm… an otherworldly god?" he muttered before closing his golden eyes again. Whatever came from beyond was not his concern. His duty was to guard the soul beasts until the Silver Dragon King recovered and led them to rule again.

The Skydream Iceworm looked up and saw a stream of gray energy descending from the rift. Its eyes filled with terror and confusion, the power exceeded even its imagination.

Even Di Tian had never made him feel such pressure; only one being deep within the Lake of Life had ever compared.

The gray mist shot into Huo Yuhao's head, and the Iceworm roared, "Who dares steal my host?!"

It unleashed its mental power to fight back, only for a vague figure to appear behind Huo Yuhao.

An ancient, commanding voice echoed: "To grasp the sun and moon, to pluck the stars, none in this world compare to me."

"So, I still have a fragment of soul left…"

Ignoring the Iceworm's fury, Electrolux entered Huo Yuhao's mind and vanished.

After all, he owed respect only to the one who granted him refuge,Huo Yuhao.

As for the Iceworm, crushing it would be easy if he wished; its spiritual strength was vast, but crude compared to his own.

Settling within Huo Yuhao's consciousness, Electrolux turned into a gray pearl and began to quietly repair himself.

Within his spirit sea, the boy noticed the foreign object.

"Wait… that gray pearl…"

After sorting through his newly merged memories, he finally understood what had happened.

"Great, just great. I crossed over right at the worst possible moment… or maybe it's luck? If Electrolux is here, then the Skydream Iceworm should be next."

Soon, ten platinum orbs of light and countless golden specks appeared in his spirit sea, coalescing into a golden ocean beneath a massive, round, worm-like creature.

"Huh, there's already a spiritual sea,and it's huge! That saves me some work," the Iceworm muttered.

"Wait, why can't I find this human's memories? They should be stored here… Don't tell me that Wind Baboon really knocked him stupid. Just my luck!"

The boy,now truly Huo Yuhao, twitched his mouth and said, "Hey, big bug, don't go doing weird stuff in my spiritual sea."

The Iceworm turned around awkwardly. "Big bug? The name's Skydream! Skydream Iceworm! Call me Brother Skydream!"

"Alright, Brother Skydream," Huo Yuhao replied obediently, while silently repeating in his heart, _Big bug, big bug, fat and round big bug._

The Iceworm didn't seem to notice and laughed proudly. "Hahaha, that's better! I'm a million-year soul beast, stick with me, kid, and you'll go far!

Your body may be weak and your talent lousy, but with me as your first soul ring, you'll soar!"

Looks like he can't hear what I'm thinking. Maybe that's due to the transmigration, Huo Yuhao thought. Anyway, since I absorbed the original's memories, that explains why he can't find them.

He sighed. "Whatever the case, we should leave this forest first. I'd rather not end up as someone's lunch."

The Iceworm grumbled, "With me here, what are you afraid of? Even if it's Di Tian, well, okay, not Di Tian, but any ten-thousand-year beast comes near, I'll chase it off!"
