Arthur woke up with a headache so severe he couldn't move his body. It was like sleep paralysis, right? But sleep paralysis doesn't give you a headache this bad.
"Ugh, what in the world is this?",
He thought to himself, trying to move but failing, realizing he's seeing black spots and losing energy fast.
"Am I?.... No, this can't be the end..."
"Wait, if I survive, will I be able to take a day off from my office job?..."
Arthur felt numb, like his limbs were giving out. He felt every second of it
"Nope, not happening..... Well, it was nice knowing ya, world..."
Arthur had been lazy and slacking his whole life. But is this his punishment? No, it can't be...
Arthur thought he died, and everything faded to black. But, then, he felt a sensation; his heartbeat.
He opened his eyes to find himself in what looked like a wooden home, probably made in the 19th century by the looks of it. He saw some bookshelves and a desk with a lamp that barely lit anything, nothing fancy.
"Where the hell am I?"
He blurred out, realizing his voice sounded wrong. Maybe a sore throat? Was he kidnapped?
"Cava lon re ty na gago trand to Nico yo nub."
Arthur hears from downstairs, but he dosen't understand a single world their saying, but he knows its coming from a woman.
A sharp pain hits his head, and Arthur now has an idea of what they were saying.
"Please go wake Nico up for me."
Arthur's eyes widen, someone else's memories burst through his head.
Nico Richards, 9 years old, looks feminine because of family inbreeding, relatives left Nico's family behind and didn't give them anything, lives in a wooden home, called cursed because people swear they see him multiple times at once.
"Damn.... The kid must have a hard life."
Arthur moves to get out of this bed to investigate, but quickly takes a looks at his hands, noticing they're the size of a child's.
"What the hell? Is this real?"
Arthur had read enough web novels and reincarnation stories to think that maybe he's been transported into another world. Arthur then hears the door opening, and a child that looked around nine standing at his door.
"Glad you're awake, Nick. Come down, breakfast is ready."
Something in him tells Arthur this is his twin sister Mia. Huh? She kinda looked like a young boy to him, but Arthur should probably worry about something else.
"Am I Nico now?... No, I can't be! I've always been Arthur Johnson!"
He got out of bed, realizing his clothes were also that of a child, that being children's pajamas. He felt around his long hair, the strands being a dark blue color he didn't recognize as himself.
He looked into a mirror in the house, and he looked very, very childish. No, he was a child, period. He had an innocent and prepubescent-looking face, as well as his eyes being a shade of gold, similar to Mia.
He thought to himself,
"Is this me now? Seriously?"
Waiting down in the beat up living room was his 'mother', as his memories told him, or at least Nico's mother. Arthur didn't know what to say.
That's when Arthur felt something, almost like his souls was traveling. He was outside at the market, looking like Nico did, but his face looked soulless in the glass reflection. Arthur felt the breeze, heared people laughing near him, as well as feeling his hair in the windz but something felt off; too real and vivid to be a dream, yet too dreamy to feel real.
It only lasted a second before Arthur came back to the living room.
"Where am I? This looks like maybe it might be 19th century Europe? I don't know...."
Arthur might have zoned out for too long, because Nico's mother was in the middle of speaking when the stopped and began stroking his hair.
"Sweetie, are you listening? Is this another on of your clones?"
Clones? Oh, right, Nico was reported to have been reported to be cursed and omnipresent. At least, that's what Nico's memories told him
The food tasted very bland, almost like cardboard. Arthur didn't even know what it was.
Soup? Salad? He didn't know. All he knew was the food was tasteless.
Arthur put on his best "I love it!" Face and continued eating. Although, he was silently thinking how to survive here.
Was there good food? He didn't know. All he knew was he would survive, no matter what this new dumbass world threw at him.
