Chapter 26
Cole went out to hunt, picked up a new bow and arrows in the market before heading into the forest. He knew he had to tread with caution to avoid chasing animals away.
The dried leaves were no friends of his but he was pleased with the chilling weather of the night. As soon as he got deep into the forest, he went deeper into the forest.
He held his breath as he saw a gazelle drinking water at the stream, his mind was focused on killing that animal. He pulled the string and released it, he didn't miss his target. He jumped down to where his kill was lying bleeding and groaning in pain.
"Now this can be used to make me a nice meal for dinner." He heaved a deep sigh as he turned to his right. He saw a lady, and then turned to his left. He saw the same lady.
It was way past midnight so he was ready to fight anyone who stood in his way. He howled, signalling the sentinels that he was in danger.
